Step 1 Discussion
1. T helps Ss to understand the tip on moving on to another topic.
T: Imagine this situation: you’re having a great conversation with a person you’ve just met. You’re talking about a topic that both of you are really interested in, and you’re sharing ideas happily. You’re both asking great questions and responding with enthusiasm, but then suddenly … silence. This means the topic has come to its natural conclusion.
T: Then if the partner has talked too much on a certain topic, what would you like to say to move on to another topic
T: You can refer to the tip on moving on to another topic.
I think we’ve talked enough about this point. Maybe we could move on to …
I think there’s nothing more to talk about this aspect. Let’s change the topic to …
2. T asks Ss to discuss the protection of heritage sites.

Step 2 Learning how to close a paragraph effectively
T asks Ss to learn how to close a paragraph effectively.
T: An effective closing paragraph is essential to a piece of successful writing. At the end of the writing, you should sum up the main points. You could also include an interesting statement or a projection for the future.
T: Some expressions, such as in conclusion, to conclude, to sum up, in summary, can be used to draw conclusions.

Step 3 Writing
1. T asks Ss to learn about the structure and language.
T: To write an article calling for the protection of heritage sites, you can follow the structure below:
· State the importance of the protection of heritage sites.
· Give your ideas on how to protect our heritage sites.
· Sum up the main points and call on people to take action.
T: Since the protection of heritage sites is a serious topic, you should write the article in a formal manner. Make sure you use very clear and direct language. You can also use modal verbs to express obligation to protect heritage sites.
