Who can jump over the wall with Giselle (屏幕上同時跳出斑馬和長頸鹿：I can help.附帶句型：A+be+adj(er)+than +B ) T：Who can help S1: The giraffe can help T: Why S1: Because the giraffe is taller than the wall. I’m shorter than it. 通過將長頸鹿、斑馬與墻進行對比，鞏固所學新單詞taller and shorter. 動畫中的長頸鹿動作滑稽幽默讓學生在輕松愉快的氛圍中理解故事、單詞、句型。 用蛇當橋，學生在前面學習的基礎上可以很好地理解longer and shorter 的含義。并能更好地使用句型A+be+adj(er)+than +B 描述人和物。 利用頭腦風暴的方式進行操練，讓學生在最快的時間內找出兩個物體的不同，并用新學句型A+be+adj(er)+than +B進行描述兩個物體或人物的不同。 通過幻燈片播放故事，復習拓展本課所學重點句型，更讓學生明白寸有所長，尺有所短的道理。 寫信的過程就是把所學知識內化后輸出的過程。
課堂反思 通過本節課的學習，90%的學生能夠聽、說、讀、寫單詞：younger, older, taller, shorter, longer. 80%的學生能夠在情境中恰當運用以下句型比較人、動物的外貌特征：How tall are you I’m … How old are you I’m … How long are you I’m … 通過這個故事孩子們明白當遇到困難時要勇敢面對，積極采取行動。也明白了“寸有所長，尺有所短”的道理。
