(1)wonder的基本意思是“對...感到疑惑”，常指自然界或藝術上的宏偉或新穎、奇特的事物使人驚訝、困惑。wonder也常常表示“想知道”“問自己”，指考慮某事，并且努力猜想，以求對其多了解一些。
(2)當wonder與whether/if連用時，表示“考慮某事，并設法判斷該事是否屬實”，也可表示一種委婉的請求或邀請。

“hope+that ”后面通常跟一個賓語從句，用來表達希望、期望或愿望。在口語中，有時可以省略 “that” 。
e.g.:I hope that she arrives on time.我希望她準時到達。
They hope that it doesn’t rain tomorrow.他們希望明天不要下雨。
We hope that you can join us for dinner.我們希望你能和我們一起吃晚飯。
