資源簡介 Unit 7 What’s the highest mountain in the world?(Section A 1a-2d)教學設計主題范疇:本節課屬于“人與自然”范疇,涉及地理與自然知識。一、語篇研讀What: 本課語篇圍繞地理知識展開,集中呈現了“世界瑰寶自然地理之最”的相關數據。然后又接住我國人口,歷史,河流的話題將學生帶入我們自己的地理與人文環境中。里面集中呈現了大數字的讀法和表示度量的結構,并進一步拓展了比較級和最高級的使用。Why: 此節課主要是通過比較來了解中國以及世界地理知識。了解我國和世界的一些“自然地理之最”中的知識,了解我國長城的一些基本知識。讓同學們了解世界和中國是如此之神奇美麗,讓他們熱愛自然,熱愛祖國,進而產生民族自豪感,立志努力學習。How: 文章涉及到的語篇主要是描述我們中國地理知識方面山川河流的高度長度的表達,還有通過世界地理之最來復習最高級的學習和使用。二、教學目標通過本課時的學習,學生能夠:1. New words and phrases such as square, meter , deep, desert… (學習理解)2. Listening skills and be able to talk about geographical facts and nature.(應用實踐)3. What’s the highest mountain in the world 2.How high is Qomolangma It’s 8,844.43 meters high.3.Which is the deepest salt lake in the world 4.The Caspian Sea is the deepest of all the salt lake.三、學情分析:我們教學的對象是八年級的學生,學生的學習基礎參差不齊。所以我不但要鼓勵他們繼續的開口說英語,讓他們盡可能全部參與到教學活動中來,通過小組合作學習,培養他們的主人翁意識,同時通過深入淺出的講解與大量的鞏固練習,培養他們綜合運用語言的能力,盡量讓每位學生都能繼續體會英語學習的快樂與成功,充分發揮學生主導的作用,保持他們學習的積極性和主動性。四、教學重點、難點分析教學重點:重點詞匯的記憶與運用較大數字的表達方法形容詞各級別句型的掌握教學難點:運用形容詞的比較級和最高級準確描述人或事物的特征五、教學方法及手段自主合作探究法:鼓勵學生獨立思考,小組合作解決問題。任務型語言教學法:設計具體任務,讓學生在完成任務的過程中學習語言。多媒體輔助教學:利用圖片、視頻等多媒體資源,增強課堂趣味性,幫助學生直觀理解。六、教學步驟Teaching objectives Teaching activities Effect evaluationMaster how to read large numbers. (學習理解) 1. Play a game: count numbers . 2. Teach them to read large numbers with thousand and million. Read the numbers one by one. 3. Then ask the students “how to read these numbers” and lead them say out . 4. Next, summarize. The teachers should cheer students up and lead them to read large numbersDesign purpose: 通過視覺和聽覺的雙重刺激,迅速吸引學生的注意力,為接下來的學習做好心理準備。Use superlative to describe geographical /natural places. Let them use the target language to describe places. (學習理解) 1. Let them look at some videos about these four places and know more about them. 2. Show the target language.“What’s the highest mountain in the world ” “How high is it ”“It’s ...meters high.” 3. Then let them complete 1a and check the answers. 4. Next summarize. The teacher should improve students’ speaking skills. Teach them to read the sentences and check them in order to let students master the target language completelyDesign purpose:通過展示世界奇觀,拓寬學生視野,激發學生的探索欲。通過句型練習,引導學生掌握新知識,為后續的交際活動打下基礎;課文閱讀和句型練習,引導學生加深地理知識的了解,夯實基礎句型。Improve students’ listening skills and consolidate target language. 1.Ask the students to listen to the recording without filling in the answer for activity 1b yet. Ask them to identify they have heard. 2.Play the recording for the students again. Ask them to complete 1b. 3.Check the answers as a class. The teachers should improve students’ listening skills. While they are doing the exercise, the teacher look at their answers to check if they can do it correctlyDesign purpose:(完成1b 的任務)在聽之前指導學生先做出預測,以便更有針對性的完成聽力任務。To help the students use the target language in natural speech. (應用實踐和遷移 創新) Use the information in 1b to make conversations as 1c. The teacher listen to their conversations carefully to check if they can use the target language properly.Design purpose: 讓學生根據上面的信息進行語言操練,通過集中模仿聽力中大數字的讀法,口頭再說出這些大數字,并利用想關信息進行實際的語言操練。Let them get some important numbers and some cultural information by listening and speaking.(學習理解 1. Pre-listening prediction. Let the students attempt to do activity 2b before listen to the recording for activity 2a. 2. Listen and number the facts. 3. Listen and fill in the blanks in 2a with the numbers in the box. 4. Make conversations using the information in 2a. Let the students retell the dialogue. Let the students answer the question s and check them if they can understand the conversation correctlyDesign purpose:通過閱讀此對話回答問題來提高同學們的閱讀理解能力,并以此來讓同學們全面了解我國古代明長城的基本信息,讓同學們了解中國歷史,感受中國古代人民的智慧和偉大。同學們復述對話,又能更深刻來感受導游講解這段歷史時的自豪感。Encourage them to use target language in our real life. (遷移創新) 1.Teacher give them some tips and guide them to make a report about Mount Tai. 2.Students show their reports. 3.Play a video: The meaning of China. And educate students to love our country and study hard .
