一、技法指導
本單元的寫作項目是寫申請信。申請信屬于公務信函,格式和用詞比較正規,其目的在于讓聘用方了解自己的經驗、能力、成就、愿望等,所以個人情況的介紹應該是申請信的核心內容,應盡可能向對方說明本人的長處,以便留下好印象,獲得進一步面談的機會。申請信一般包括以下內容:
1.介紹信息來源。通常是英文申請信正文部分的開篇句,它可使申請信顯得自然、順暢。
2.表明求職心意。介紹完信息來源,應向收信人表明自己寫信的目的。
3.介紹個人簡歷并表明自己的優勢。此部分應詳寫,主要包括:出生日期、性別、教育程度、工作經驗、特殊技能等。在介紹情況時,應對自己最適合所申請的工作的原因進行詳細介紹。

Ⅰ.句子類型
句子按結構可分為簡單句、并列句和復合句,而長句之所以長,是因為含有較多較長的修飾成分,或是包括多個并列句或從句。理解長句的基礎是厘清句子的結構層次。
一、簡單句
簡單句只有一個主謂結構。句子可能有兩個或更多的主語,也可能有兩個或更多的謂語,但是句子中的主謂關系只有一個。簡單句還可以有定語、狀語等句子成分。
Campers have a three-hour morning class engaging with a morning theme (9 am to 12 noon) and a one-hour lunch break(后置定語),followed by another three-hour class engaging with an afternoon theme (1 pm to 4 pm)(狀語).(含有后置定語及狀語,此句仍為簡單句)(2023·浙江1月卷)

二、并列句
1.并列句的定義
包含兩個或兩個以上主謂結構的句子叫并列句,句與句之間通常用并列連詞或分號來連接。從語法上講,這些主謂結構都能獨立地表達意思,沒有從屬關系。但是它們在意思或邏輯上有一定程度的內在聯系,使它們有必要構成并列句。

三、復合句
1.主從復合句
(1)主從復合句的定義
由一個主句和一個或一個以上的從句構成的句子叫主從復合句。在主從復合句中主句是全句的主體,從句是全句的一個成分,不能獨立。主句與從句之間用關聯詞連接起來。此時關聯詞也叫從屬連詞,它在主句與從句之間起連接作用。

②含有定語從句的復合句

Ⅱ.如何分析長句
1.據謂語,找主語
一般情況下,一個謂語動詞對應其動作的發出者(主語),我們可以根據謂語動詞的意義來確定其主語。而且,如果一個句子中出現兩個或兩個以上的謂語形式的動詞,則該句可以是并列句或復合句(并列謂語動詞的情況除外)。
English is a language shared by several diverse cultures,each of which uses it differently.(天津卷)
[分析] 主句謂語是“is”,其主語是“English”。定語從句中的謂語為“uses”,其主語為短語“each of which”,其中中心詞為“each”。
句意:英語是幾種不同文化的共同語言,每種文化的使用方式都不同。
2.提主干,去枝葉
一般情況下,一個句子中的主句所表達的信息為主要信息,從句、狀語和定語等所表達的信息為次要信息。若句子的主干提煉不出來,就不能完全把握句子的核心意義,從而導致思維混亂,主次不分。
One morning I spotted a lost lamb when I was in the top field,near where a motorway cuts through my land.(浙江7月卷)

3.尋關聯,辨邏輯
一些長句其實是由若干分句組成的并列句或復合句。而這些并列句或復合句之間需要一些關聯詞來連接。如果我們找準這些關聯詞,就能夠弄清楚句與句之間的邏輯關系,分別弄清主句的意義和從句的意義,則對長句的理解就容易得多了。要掌握此方法必須對英語中常見的關聯詞諳熟于心。

聽力 微技能
識別觀點態度
觀點態度類聽力題主要考查對說話者的意圖、觀點和態度的把握,通過對話雙方所表達的對某人或某事的好惡、贊成等看法,來檢測考生的分析判斷能力。有的觀點態度是在對話中明確表達出來的,這類題可在聽錄音時直接捕捉到題目答案的信息詞。有的要根據對話者說話的語音、語調、語氣以及談話內容,判斷出說話者對某人、某事物的看法或態度。有時說話者經常引用別人的意見或聽到、讀到或被告知的東西來表達自己的觀點與看法。
1.常見表達觀點的提示詞:I think...;It seemed to me that...;As far as I’m concerned;I could say that...;It is/sounds true that...。
2.常見引述詞:I heard/read that...;according to...;I was told that...等。
3.同時還要注意表示否定、轉折和虛擬等含義的提示詞。
此類題目多是用what和how開頭的特殊疑問句,選項則是表示人的觀點態度的形容詞。
