they all heard a strange noise. They looked up into
the sky. Some bird-like people with wings were flying in the air. Many of them landed near the mother ship.
She smiled at them and started to dance as she wanted to show the people of Bird World that she was friendly. She danced beautifully. Everybody from Bird World liked her
dancing very much. They started dancing too. They were happy.

Writing exercise
Look at the map, the things Liz and Gus will take and the key words. Then, write a short article about how Liz and Gus reached the mother ship.

Liz and Gus picked up their things and set off for the landing site. They only had two days to reach the mother ship.
First, they walked into the forest. They walked for one day. At night, they set up the tent to have a rest. It was cold at night, so they used the matches to make a fire. They ate some food and then went to sleep. The next day they woke up early and moved on.
They walked out of the forest and reached the lake. Near the lake, they saw some dangerous animals. The animals came towards them. Liz and Gus felt frightened. They threw their lunch boxes at the animals. The animal stopped to eat the food. Liz and Gus ran away.
They could not get across the river because they didn’t have a boat, so they decided to cross the desert. They walked for another day and drank all their water.
Finally, they got to the mother ship before dark.
