教材分析
本節(jié)課選自 2019 年人教版高中新教材必修二 Unit5 Reading and Thinking——Music。本單元的主題語境是人與社會主題下的音樂領(lǐng)域的概況及其發(fā)展。作為本單元的第一課時,通過多模態(tài)語篇圍繞主題進(jìn)行聽、說、讀等語言實踐活動,聆聽記者對三位學(xué)生的采訪,了解學(xué)生的音樂喜好及其原因。通過主題語篇的學(xué)習(xí)和多樣化的聽說實踐活動,學(xué)生可以獲取梳理不同的音樂類型和樂器種類,表達(dá)自身的音樂喜好及其原因,了解中西方音樂文化差異,分享音樂跨域文化差異帶給人類的積極影響,弘揚(yáng)中國優(yōu)秀音樂文化,了解音樂在人們生活中的重要性,學(xué)會享受音樂,享受生活,加深對音樂主題意義的探究。
該板塊的主題是“談?wù)撓矏鄣囊魳贰?Talk about music preferences),談?wù)撘魳废埠檬侵袑W(xué)生的常見話題,他們喜歡各種類型的音樂:有人喜歡西方古典音樂,有人喜歡通俗音樂,有人喜歡中國傳統(tǒng)音樂。只要音樂的內(nèi)容積極向上,學(xué)生的愛好都值得尊重和贊賞。該模塊聽力文本包括三個短對話,是一名記者對三個學(xué)生的采訪,參訪學(xué)生喜歡的音樂類型及原因。三個對話結(jié)構(gòu)大體一致,重點(diǎn)問句是“what kind of music do you like Why ”。本文本涉及一個重要的聽力策略—解釋策略(paraphrase),解釋策略有兩個關(guān)鍵點(diǎn),一是要用更簡單或更清楚的說法;二是表達(dá)的意思不變。本模塊首先用圖片激發(fā)學(xué)生的興趣,然后通過三段采訪聽力材料讓學(xué)生獲取對音樂種類的初步認(rèn)識,學(xué)習(xí)表達(dá)音樂類型和其感受喜好的相關(guān)詞匯和語言表達(dá)形式,最后通過一段口語對話練習(xí),學(xué)會使用目標(biāo)語言談?wù)撟约合矚g的音樂類型,提高學(xué)生對音樂的鑒賞能力。
學(xué)情分析
高一學(xué)生比較熟悉音樂這一主題,經(jīng)過初中英語能力的發(fā)展和前期高中英語學(xué)習(xí)的培養(yǎng),他們已經(jīng)具備在聽力過程中圍繞語篇主題內(nèi)容,提取重點(diǎn)信息,掌握主旨大意,理解復(fù)雜表達(dá);能夠聽懂發(fā)音標(biāo)準(zhǔn),語速適中的文本材料;具備在日常生活運(yùn)用所學(xué)知識進(jìn)行簡單的口語交流。部分同學(xué)單詞發(fā)音不夠標(biāo)準(zhǔn),用詞不夠準(zhǔn)確,對英語口語表達(dá)存在畏難心理;大部分同學(xué)對聽力技巧掌握不到位,不能熟練運(yùn)用各種聽力技能,不能很好地運(yùn)用所學(xué)知識聯(lián)系實際 表達(dá)自己的觀點(diǎn)和喜好。
課時目標(biāo)
1.To learn to identify different types of music;
2.To practice listening for detailed information about music preference;
3.To get to know what is paraphrase and to understand key information by using this technique while listening;
4.To talk about the role music plays in your daily life.

Step 1: Lead-in
Show 5 different pieces of music and students try to recognize what types of music they belong to

Step 2: Pre-listening
Task 1: Finish EX 2 on page 50. Ask students to match the pictures with the correct types of music.
Task 2: Look and Say. Students try to use present continuous tense to describe what the people are doing in the pictures

Step 3: While-listening

Ask students to listen to the interviews and draw lines between the words to make complete sentences. Tell
students that some words will not be used.

Task 3:Summarise the listening strategy and tell students how to use paraphrase.
Ask students to go through the listening strategy, paraphrase and make sure students understand it.
Paraphrase: Explain something difficult to somebody by using easier words with the same meaning. Mainly used
to check if our comprehension is correct and to show our interests in the others' words.

Step 4: Post-listening
Task 1: Group work. Discuss the following questions(5 m).Ask some students to share their opinions.

Suggested answers: Classical music also makes me feel relaxed because I also find it peaceful and beautiful.
2. What type of music do you not like, and how does it make you feel
Suggested answers: I don’t like heavy metal music at all. It’s too loud and fast. It gives me a headache!
