Pre-reading (5’) Step1 lead-in To show a picture on which a boy is still playing computer game by deep into the night. To ask some questions about the picture What time is it Did he go to bed What is he doing to Is it a good or bad habit And why Step1 lead-in To look at the picture by the whole class. To answer the questions by individual. To get the students ready for the new topic and arouse the student’s interests about today’s topic
To send the picture to the we-chat. And invite students to make comments on his behavious by we-chat. What do you want to say to the game boy To suppose to be one of friends of the boy’s in the picture.And make comments on his behavious on the we-chat by the learning group.
Pre--reading (15’) Step2. Vocabulary learning To show the pictures of some living habits. 2.To present the English expressions of the living habits spoken by the students. 3.To teach the expressions unknown by the students. 4.To invite students to classify these habits into good habits and bad ones. 5.To give two center words-good habits and bad habits, and invite students to compete which group can speak out these good habits and bad habits as many as possible. Step2. Vocabulary learning To talk about the English expressions of these living habits in the pictures in the learning group. To speak out the expressions of the living habits in the pictures as many as possible by the learning group. To learn the unknown expression by the whole class. To classify these habits into good habits and bad ones by the individual. To compete which group can speak out these good habits and bad habits as many as possible. 1.To motivate the students to learn and practice the new words and phrases. To deal with the key phrases and make students understand the text easier. 3.To check how well the students have grasped the new phrase.
While-reading 30’ Step1.scanning To offer a form to compare Sara’s today living habits with her past living habits. 2,3.To make an evaluation on form and report made by different groups. Step2.reading for detail To offer two information cards of fitness club. To correct and make an evaluation. Step3.Intensive reading To show the picture of boy’s playing computer game again, and invite students to give him some pieces of advice. 2.To introduce the patterns of giving advice Step1. Scanning 1.To read for information on Sara’s living habits and complete the form by the learning group.(group members assign the different tasks.The member good at drawing will draw Sara’s portrait on the form,the member good at oral English will do a presentation.) 2.To send the completed form to we-chat and share with other groups. 3.To make report on Sara’s living habit with the completed form by individual.
