Step I. Pre-task activities Leading-in (19 minutes) Assigning today’s task to the whole class. (1 minute) Step II. While-task activities (50 minutes) 3m’ 10m’ 1.Letting the students make groups of 4 or 5 people. 2. Letting the students work in group, discuss and write down the activities they like to do while travelling. 3. Letting the students have a chain competition in group by speaking out activities they like to do while travelling. 4. Assigning today’s task to the whole class: “To make the best travel brochure” 1.Letting the students work in groups, discuss and decide on a city they’d like to introduce. 2.Letting the students discuss how to introduce the city and how to organize the trip. The travel brochure should include the following information: Name of the city Location of the city The city is famous for The travel plan: Making groups working in group, discussing and writing down the activities they like to do while travelling. Having a chain competition in group by speaking out the activities they like to do while travelling. Listening and thinking. Discussing and deciding a city they’d like to introduce. Discussing how to introduce the city and how to organize the trip according to the requirement. To arouse the students’ interest and get ready for the next step. To help the students be clear about what they are going to do today. To help the students to practice the key expressions by making a travel brochure.

Post-task activities. 1.Fun time (10minutes) Day 1/2/3/4 Time Morning Afternoon evening Places to go Activities 3.Encouraging students to introduce their cities by imitating the text of Activity 9. Telling them the places and the activities they will have, the more, the better. 4.Letting the students decorate their travel brochure with pictures, photos or drawings. 5.Letting each group choose a representative to present the brochure to the whole class in turn. 6.Letting the students choose the best travel brochure according to the evaluating form. Letting the students listen to the story and pay attention to the pauses. Letting the students read after the tape together. Trying to introduce their cities by imitating the text of Activity 9 and by using the places and the activities as more as possible. Decorating the travel brochure with pictures, photos or drawings. Choosing a representative to present the brochure to the whole class in turn. Choosing the best travel brochure according to the evaluating form. Listening to the story and paying attention to the pauses. Reading after the tape together. Help the students to improve their intonation and tone.
