Step One. Pre-task activities (20 minutes) I.Leading-in (15 minutes) II.Assigning today’s task to the whole class. (5 minutes) Step Two. While-task activities (60 minutes) 10m’ 1.Letting the students make groups of 4 or 5 people. 2. Letting the students work in group, discuss and write down the items that should be included in a product description. 3. Playing a video which is mainly about product description. Playing a video on Eskimos 5.Leading the students to go over some new expressions. Assigning today’s task to the whole class: “Suppose you are a salesperson of a big refrigerator company. You and three other colleagues are asked to sell your latest model of refrigerators to a group of Eskimos.You need to work out a product presentation. ” Working in groups of 4 or 5 people. 1.Having the students brainstorm about why an Eskimo might need a refrigerator and list all their ideas on a piece of paper. For example, 1) You need to eat clean food to keep fit. . Making groups working in group, discussing and writing down items that should be included in a product description Watching the video. Going over the new expressions. Listening and thinking. Brainstorming and listing. To arouse the students’ interest and get ready for the next step. To help the students be clear about what they are going to do today. To help the students to get ready for the next step.
