學情分析 八年級下學期的學生，已經熟練掌握形容詞、副詞比較級和最高級的用法，具備這節課需要的語言基礎。本節課是聽說課，內容是關于使用比較級和最高級比較熊貓和大象等，對學生來說具有極強的好奇心，再借助多媒體工具的輔助，更有利于了解國寶大熊貓及其它動物,學會保護野生動物。
單元教 學目標 本單元的主題屬于“人與自我”范疇。話題取材于課標中談論地理與自然。本單元教材以“介紹地理及自然景觀”為中心話題，Section A部分主要圍繞地理至少展開，集中呈現了大數字的讀法和表示度量的結構，進一步拓展了比較級和最高級的使用。學生需要大量的口語練習對比，才能把握目標語言并熟練應用；Section B 在A部分的基礎上,對自然和文化的比較過度到了動物這一話題.本部分呈現了大象/熊貓以及熊貓基地的相關內容,拓展學習更多表示比較的句式，比如多倍數的表達，通過聽、說、讀、寫等活動，引導學生學習更多表達比較的句式結構，了解大熊貓等瀕危動物，培養動物保護意識。這一部分重點是在閱讀中運用尋讀策略，快速查詢每個數字所表達的意義。難點是教會學生羅列事實及數據，初步學習說明文的寫作。
課時教 學內容 本節課是Section B第一課時，是一節聽說。la-le部分一方面鞏固含有數字的事實描述，另一方面也拓展學習更多表示比較的句式，如多倍數的表達等。活動1a通過過呈現大象和熊貓的信息，引導學生用比較句型將兩種動物進行比較，為后面的聽力做鋪墊。1b-1c的聽力內容主要是圍繞熊貓寶寶的描述，進一步學習度量的表達。1c d是聽力活動的延續，讓學生將聽到的信息用對話的形式進行輸出。
課時教 學目標 1.語言能力：正確使用比較級、最高級來描述事物，熟練掌握倍數的表達。 2.文化意識：了解國寶大熊貓的相關知識，樹立保護動物的意識。 3.思維品質：通過對比，來了解不同動物的相關知識。 4.學習能力：有意識地運用知識遷移策略比較動物。
作業目標 1.引導學生正確朗讀數字，特別注意小數點的讀法，為聽力做好鋪墊； 2.激活學生的思維，搜集已有的關于熊貓和大象的知識并介紹它們，讓學生有機會自己組織語言表達已知的信息； 3.引導學生先描述兩種動物，再啟發模仿課本方框中的例句對大象和熊貓進行比較，分別使用兩種動物作主語，以充分運用比較句型開展比較級練習； 4.分層布置作業，為不同程度的學生提供挑戰性任務，學生可選擇適合自己的作業，幫助學生充分發揮潛力。
