Almost in tears, I ran to find my mom. “Mom ” I asked anxiously. “Where’s Princess Luna, and where did this new horse come from ” “We traded Princess Luna with Tom’ s family. I’ve always wanted a Palomino.” Her answer surprised me and made me very sad.
I begged my mom to bring Princess Luna back, but she didn’t explain anything. She just expected me to accept it. I went back to my room, feeling discouraged. Princess Luna needed me as much as I needed her. How could my parents care little about that
I decided it was time to stand up for what I believed in. I would get Princess Luna back, so I started making a plan. While doing the dishes later, I packed some snacks in my backpack. When I was sure everyone was asleep, I set out to find Princess Luna in the dark.
I walked down the driveway toward Tom’s house, imagining how upset my parents would be when they found out what I was doing. About an hour later, I arrived at Tom’s house and climbed through the open stable door. There, I saw Princess Luna! I rushed to take her out of the stable. “What are you doing here, Lucy ” I turned quickly to face the familiar but shocked voice that surprised me.
