Ⅰ. Material analysis
本課主活動是1a和3b。1a具體了分析中國人口狀況和政府采取的措施及成效。這篇閱讀文章較長，1b主要是培養學生找出段落的主旨句的能力。而1c則是要學生學習找到論據。2可以看作是語法鞏固訓練，但內容仍然緊扣主題。3a和3b是訓練說和寫的技能的。通過本篇文章的學習，要求學生掌握一定的閱讀策略和寫作技巧，能夠模仿作者恰當運用主旨句的寫作方式，排篇布局。引導學生關注社會發展，關注國家，培養學生樹立良好的社會意識和正確的世界觀。

能基本讀懂課文材料，掌握一定的閱讀技巧和方法。

2. Difficult points：
如何通過語境和構詞法，猜測生詞、短語大意，并感知其用法。

在口頭報告和書面寫作時，能合理使用topic sentence和supporting details組織文章結構。
Ⅳ. Learning strategies
通過任務前活動，引導學生預測閱讀內容，降低閱讀難度。
通過找主旨句的方法，教會學生在做口頭報告或寫作時合理布局，組織段落。
通過構詞法和上下文，提升猜測詞義來掃清閱讀障礙的學習能力。
通過2部分的填空練習，培養學生在語篇中正確使用動詞的意識。
