Ⅰ. Material analysis
本課要完成Section C的3b 和Section D。主活動是1a和Project。學生通過Grammar 來鞏固總結一般現在時態的被動語態。通過閱讀1a,讓學生了解英語演變成國際語言的歷程。1a的表格可謂一舉兩得。一方面讓學生通過填表來鞏固課文內容,另一方面則又可以讓學生在1b中利用它來復述課文。Project 部分則為了培養學生用英語辯論的能力,讓學生通過口頭形式來表達自己的觀點,讓學生更深入地去理解語言。通過辯論,有的學生肯定會認識到語言與國力的相輔相成。這樣在無形中可以樹立學生的祖國意識和國際視野。
Ⅱ.Teaching aims
1.Knowledge aims:
掌握本課的重點詞匯和短語,總結一般現在時態的被動語態。
2.Skill aims:
能根據關鍵詞復述課文。
能運用一般現在時態的被動語態,以口頭和書面的形式來表達自己的觀點,進行英語辯論。
3.Emotional aims: (optional)
通過了解英語的傳播歷程,認識到語言與國家的強盛有很大關系,從而激發學生努力學習,建設強大的祖國,讓漢語也像英語一樣成為一門國際語言。
4.Culture awareness: (optional)
英語是汲取西方文化和傳播東方文化的橋梁,英語的優勢地位在未來相當長的時間內不會減弱。
Ⅲ. The key points and difficult points
1. Key points:
Words and phrases: Britain, powerful, leading, position, take the leading position, as a result, encourage sb.to do sth., be popular with sb., make great progress in doing sth., be required to do sth., be regarded as.
Sentences: The American computer and Internet industry have taken the leading position in the world.
Many of them have done well in English and have made great progress in speaking it.
Grammar: the simple present passive voice.
2. Difficult points:
理解英國的不同稱呼:UK, the United Kingdom, Great Britain。
能根據1a的圖表所提供的關鍵詞復述課文。
在做Project的過程中,能學會使用中心句來闡述觀點,并進行合理地論證。
