課標、教參關于本課中的要求及建議 要求: 1. 能夠正確認讀、書寫有關動物名稱和描述性形容詞的目標詞匯，在語境中理解其意義；能正確識別并讀出有關a的字母或字母組合在單詞中的發音，準確讀出含有這些字母及組合的常見詞匯。 2. 能夠準確捕捉對話中的時間、地點和目的信息，判斷主人公對動物的喜好以及動物習性等細節信息，并能復述對話的主要內容，談論人物最喜歡及不喜歡的動物及原因。 建議: 教師引導學生能夠明確表達自己的喜好，并具體描述所喜歡的動物的外貌特征、性格特點、行為模式等細節信息。
本課 教學 目標 1.學習理解: 能夠在參觀動物園情景中，識別并掌握常見動物的英文名稱和描述動物特征的形容詞。 2.應用實踐: 能夠運用恰當的聽前策略，理解關于最喜歡動物的對話內容，識別并提取對話中生生、師生間討論該話題的關鍵信息，并梳理其中的交際用語和句型；在教師的幫助下，分角色表演對話。 3.遷移創新: 能夠在班級內，與同學進行多輪次對話，談論最喜歡的動物及原因。
教學 重難點 重點: 常見動物的英語表達；使用一般疑問句和特殊疑問句問答最喜歡的動物及原因。
難點: 使用 because 引導的句子回答 why 引導的特殊疑問句。

Step 1. Lead-in. Show the objects of this unit and make sure Ss can understand them. Let ss observe the picture and ask questions. Can you name the animals in the photo What do you know about these animals (3) Do you know any other special animals in China Step 2. Listening 1.Pre-listening (1) The teacher plays a movie clip about Zoo Topia. Students enjoy the video and get to know the animals. After that, ss should guess what the animal is according to some pictures and descriptions. (2) Finish 1a. Ss write the animals in the box under the pictures. The teacher presents some description words. Then, ss talk about their favorite animals and animals that they don’t like by using these expressions: My favorite animal are pandas because they’re cute. I don’t like tigers because they’re scary. 2. While-listening (1) Play the recording and let Ss finish 1b. Listen to the teacher’s instructions and answer the questions. The teacher offers the listening tip before listening. (2) Provide the conversations with some blanks and let Ss write down the missing words while listening. (3) After checking the answers, guide Ss to analyze the information points of the conversations. And then let Ss brainstorm the expressions of different content. 3. Post-listening Work with their group members and do a survey and have a report then. The teacher can offer more greeting expressions, introduction expressions, the structure of the conversation and evaluation standards. Sa: What’s your favorite animal Sb: It’s the monkey. Sa: Why do you like monkeys Sb: Because they’re clever and funny. Step 3. Pronunciation (1) Play the recording. Guide Ss to pronounce the letter A well with the help of the video and imitation. (2) Provide a game for Ss to practice the sounds. Explain the pronunciation of - (e)s and the unstressed words. Step 5. Conclusion. With T’s help, have a conclusion about what they’ve learned this lesson. Offer the self-assessment to help Ss have a reflection. Step 8. Homework Remember the new words and useful expressions; Make up three conversations by using the sentence patterns we have learnt.
