Analysis of Teaching Material What "The underdog" is a narrative, consisting of two parts. The article tells the story of Paul, a player who has been serving as a replacement due to his height. The first part of the article introduces the little boy Paul, who is only 1.6 meters tall, has no advantage in the basketball team at all, and the coach has never been optimistic about him. But Paul takes Tyron Bogues as his idol and keeps training. In the second part, "I" in the story was injured in a game. With the support of “I” and other team members, the couch finally agreed that Paul played for the team. All of Paul's hard work paid off.
Why By studying this course, students are guided to realize that the true sportsmanship is not being afraid of difficulties, not giving up easily, being optimistic, and working hard.
