1. 作賓語（作及物動詞或介詞的賓語）
表示動作的執行者和承受者是同一個人或事物。
I cut myself when I was cutting up vegetables.

The old man lives by himself in the countryside.
這位老人獨自生活在鄉下。
2. 作同位語（作主語或賓語的同位語，起加強語氣的 作用，表示“親自；本身；本人”）
（1）作主語的同位語（此時反身代詞一般緊跟在主語之后或放在句末）
I myself do not agree. 我本人不同意。
He will speak to her himself. 他要親自去跟她說。
