During evenings spent with her crafting(手工藝)group,Kate Smith has produced a host of lovely pieces:hand-made bags,summer dresses,and even jewellery.But the thing she's most proud of creating is a group of close friends that value each other's company.

The number of pandas,which once were an endangered species,has grown continuously in recent years,partly thanks to the introduction of the special pandas born in captivity(圈養)but trained from birth to return to nature.
The first stage of the training begins in the first year of life in an area of around 2,000 square meters.This allows experts to monitor them more easily and minimize the damage they may suffer.During this period,the baby pandas learn to find water sources,something necessary for their survival.In the second stage,once they turn one year old,their diet changes and in addition to mother's milk they need bamboo.They will learn to find bamboo,how to stay away from their natural enemies and how to seek shelter to avoid danger.In this second stage,the area in which they move enlarges to over 20 thousand square meters,a surface similar to that of the habitat in which they find themselves when they live in the wild.
After those training and final physical examinations,captive pandas are well-prepared to explore the wild world.When they go back to the wild,they wear collars(頸圈)to provide a helpful tracking sign to inform the wildlife protection experts.Mu Shijie is one of these experts who is backed by a giant panda monitoring“dream team”,whose daily duty is to monitor the wild giant pandas in the nature reserve as well as the captive giant pandas after being set free.

When I was eight,I moved from my family's farm to live in the city.We moved because my mother got a new job,and it made sense to move to the city.I think it was good for my parents.They wanted to live in the city and our town was very poor,but I didn't want to move. At first,I hated it so much.There were too many people and it was always so noisy.Worst of all, I had to leave all of my friends!For almost two years,I was mad about having to live there. Three years later I started to like the city.I realized that I should just enjoy what I had and stop thinking about what I didn't have.What really changed my mind about the city were all the new things to try.I was able to do some new activities in the city.I met so many amazing people along the way!
