Adjective suffix: -ful, -less
We can add -ful to the end of some nouns to make adjectives. It is a suffix meaning “full of”. To have the opposite meaning, we can add -less.

6. It is harmful when the branches and leaves of trees join

harmful 是形容詞，意為“有害的”。其名詞和動詞形式均為harm，反義詞為harmless。
be harmful to = do harm to = be bad for 對……有害
翻譯：

(1) smell 是名詞，意為“氣味”。

(2) smell 還可作感官動詞，意為“發出……氣味；聞起來”，后接形容詞，說明主語的狀態。類似的感官動詞還有：taste 嘗起來 feel 摸起來
