Four boys sat in the principal's（校長的） office, waiting for their punishment. They were in big trouble and they knew it.
When the principal came in, he told the boys, “I've just spoken to all your parents on the phone. They have allowed me to punish you in whatever way I see fit. The hero's journey, which was first made popular by Joseph Campbell in his 1949 book The Hero with a Thousand Faces, is a common theme（主題） in stories. Heroes like Mulan and Harry Potter, start life-changing journeys, face great dangers, and come back changed for the better.

The winning artworks from the first Young Botanical Artist Competition（青年植物藝術(shù)家大賽） appeared in an exhibition at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew in London. The competition was open to young people aged 16 to 25. 36
Botanical art is a special kind of drawing that helps botanists de-scribe plants. 37 And it has been an important scientific tradition for hundreds of years. In fact, Kew Gardens, which is over 250 years old and home to 50, 000 plants, has always had a botanical artist in its team.
The theme of the competition was trees.
