There is nothing ordinary about this little boy's adorable experience with his musical heroes.5-year-old Taylor Hooper was just one of the 35,0000 people who were attending the Foo Fighters concert in Belfast, Norther Ireland last week. Not only is the American rock group his favorite band, it was also his first ever concert.
Taylor's mother, Nikki Hooper, says that she and her husband have always been huge fans of the Foo Fighters. In addition to traveling far and wide to see their shows, they even named their son after the drummer, Taylor Hawkins. So when the band played in their home city, they decided it was finally time for their son to see their beloved rock and rockers in concert.
“He's been listening to them since he was born — mainly because his dad and I are super fans.” Mrs Hooper told BBC. “We called the event organizers and they said it would be no problem, but that we should know it would be a loud music event, so we got Taylor some special headphones. When we got there everyone was so welcoming to him.”
Throughout the show, the audience continuously made Taylor and his parents move closer to the stage. Furthermore, Mrs. Hooper helped her son stand out from the crowd by making him a sign that said he was a 5-year-old attending his first concert.
When Foo Fighters front man Dave Grohl finally saw the sign and read it aloud into the microphone, the crowd began chanting for them to bring the youngster onto the stage. That's exactly what he did. When the stage managers brought the boy to the stage, Grohl asked Taylor to show the crowd how to dance．
The small boy then danced to the whole song, making him an “Inter net wonder”. Taylor didn't just walk away from the show with memories, either;the band also invited him backstage to give him a number of gifts, including a pair of Taylor Hawkins's drumsticks.

I am not nostalgic (懷舊的) about high school student newspapers. I put out what was then called a personal magazine with a group of friends because we wanted to write about peace, war and rock and roll without school officials warming us not to make jokes of this or that.
School newspapers are in decline because students now find out what happened on social networking websites. This is a little discouraging because it proves that for millions of Americans, journalism is becoming a do-it-yourself thing. Every citizen can be a reporter.
When something happens, we look for social media messages. They have become the means by which citizens and reporters can prove, deny(否認(rèn)), pass on stories and express opinions without the press’s challenging, researching or delaying the messages
But truly good journalism is a craft, not just a blog post. It requires observing something carefully and it uses an eye for detail to help illuminate(闡明) a larger view. And even journalism that expresses an opinion tries to be fair. If school newspapers begin to disappear, I hope there are other ways for students to learn that.

Antarctica (南極洲) is the coldest, windiest, highest and driest continent (大陸) on the planet. The lowest temperature ever recorded on Earth was -94.7℃in eastern Antarctica in 2010. The continent experiences regular Katabatic winds, reaching 300 km per hour. There is little rainfall and the air is very dry. Indeed, the Polar Plateau (極地高原) is regarded as a desert which experiences similar rainfall levels to the Sahara Desert.
It is the fifth-largest continent and is almost 1.5 times the size of the United States. Its coastline covers about 18,000 km. About 98% of the continent is covered in a thick continental ice sheet and the remaining 2% is rock.
Antarctica has six months of daylight followed by six months of darkness. It contains 70% of the planet’s freshwater and 90% of the world’s ice.
Strong winds and wild storm shave been closely connected with Antarctica since its discovery and continue to be a main challenge for modern explorers. Most of the early diaries and tales of exploration of Antarctica are filled with stories of how the weather was man’s biggest enemy on the continent. Nature’s power is seldom seen as ferocious as it is in Antarctica, making it one of the most difficult places to live on Earth.
The first people to reach the South Pole were from the Norwegian-led expedition (探險(xiǎn)隊(duì)) of Roald Amundsen on December 14,1911. One month later, Robert, Scott’s British expedition also reached 90 South but all members unluckily died on their return journey.
Before this, the thought over the existence of a “southern land” was not confirmed until the early 1820s. At this time, British and American business operators and British and Russian national expeditions began exploring the Antarctic Peninsula area and other areas south of the Antarctic Circle.
