★ She graduated from Peking University Medical School, was chosen
as one the first researchers and became the head of the project.
★ She went to Hainan to study malaria patients.
★ She examined over 2,000 old medical texts, evaluated 280,000

★The work got stuck but she didn’t acknowledge defeat and she analysed the medical texts again and after failing more than 190 time, she
succeeded.
