【辨析】carry, take, bring與get
carry 拿；提；扛 表示搬運(yùn)、攜帶，具有負(fù)重的含義。沒有方向性。
take 拿走；帶走 指把人或物從說話者所在的地方帶到別處。有方向性。
bring 拿來；帶來 指把人或物從別的地方帶到說話者所在的地方。有方向性。
get 去取；去拿 指到某地去把某人或某物帶來或拿來。表示來回。

【辨析】however與but
兩者均可意為“然而；不過”，表示轉(zhuǎn)折，區(qū)別如下：
however 副詞 可位于句首、句中、句末，一般用逗號與句子其他 其他成分隔開。 比but正式，但轉(zhuǎn)折不如but明顯。
but 連詞 常位于句中，其后通常不用逗號隔開。 表示明顯的轉(zhuǎn)折關(guān)系。
in danger 處于危險之中 其反義短語為out of danger“脫離危險”。danger作名詞，意為“危險”，其形容詞形式為dangerous“危險的”。
如：Last week we raised money to protect the animals in danger.
上周，我們籌集了資金來保護(hù)瀕危動物。
The patient is out of danger. 這個病人脫離危險了。

(2) cut down還可意為“減少，縮減”。
如：Spend your money on what you truly need. Then try to cut
down on spending.
