教材分析 本課時(shí)為本單元第一課時(shí)閱讀課型第一課時(shí)。該板塊活動主題是 “理解質(zhì)疑精神 ”。教材通過引導(dǎo)學(xué)生分析 John Snow探究霍亂病 原、切斷感染源，并最終阻止霍亂流行過程與方法理解質(zhì)疑精神在 科學(xué)研究中得重要作用。
學(xué)情分析 全廣州市各層次所有學(xué)校的高二學(xué)生。
教學(xué)目標(biāo) 經(jīng)過本課學(xué)習(xí)，學(xué)生能夠： 1. 獲取梳理文中有關(guān) John Snow 本人和他調(diào)查并阻止霍亂蔓延的 事實(shí)性信息。； 2. 閱讀 John Snow探究霍亂病源的記敘文，結(jié)合 John Snow 的研究 過程梳理科學(xué)研究的基本步驟，思考 John 身上所體現(xiàn)的科學(xué)精神 品質(zhì)； 3. 能夠概括文本內(nèi)容。

Step 4: Read for background information 教師根據(jù)上個環(huán)節(jié)學(xué)生提出的問題，從以下 4 個問題著手，展開閱讀活動： 1. What is Cholera (Paragraph 1) 2. Who is John Snow (Paragraph 1) 幫助學(xué)生了解關(guān)于 霍亂和 John Snow 的背景知識。
