After the class, students will be able to: 【學習理解】 1. talk about sports in their life; 2. learn origins of different sports; 【應用實踐】 3. talk about their favourite sports and the reason; 【遷移創新】 4. think further in the sports topic and raise interests in sports.
學情分析
【語言能力】 初一學生對運動話題十分熟悉，也很感興趣。但他們缺少語言儲備去討論更多關于運動的方面，如：運動的樂趣、好處、運動精神，需要教師通過文本輸入等方式提供語言知識。 【文化意識】 初一學生已經參加過運動會等體育活動，對運動精神有基本的認知。但對中外運動文化差異了解甚少，缺少運動起源的相關背景知識。 【思維品質】 初一學生能夠讀圖獲取事實信息，但不同學生的遷移和共情能力不同，學生的自我表達能力也存在很大差異。部分學生還無法用英語順利地討論自己的感受。 【學習能力】 學生能通過聽力活動獲取基本信息，推理能力水平不一，個別學生無法通過上下文語境推測生詞含義。
課程內容分析（課標解讀/教材分析/支持性材料）
What The discourse include pictures about different sports and a listening material about the origin of some sports. Why The pictures show some sports in daily life to activate students background knowledge. The listening material leads students to think about the origin of sports to raise their interests. How The discourse one is some pictures show sports are common and everywhere. It can remind students of sports around them and help them to talk about it. The discourse two is a listening material. It talks about the origins of different sports in different countries. By comparing, students learn more aspects of sports and think further.

學習任務 ①
學習活動 Free talk 學生觀看視頻，回答問題： 1. Sports. 2. baseball, volleyball, basketball, football/soccer/diving/skiing/skating/swimming/tennis/fencing/boxing/badminton Look and say 學生觀察圖片，說出對應單詞。 Look and answer 學生觀察圖片，回答： 1. He is skiing. 2. fun, interesting, difficult... 3. Go for it. 教學活動 Free talk 教師播放warm-up視頻，提問： 1. What's the video about 2. Can you remember What sports are mentioned in the video Look and say 教師依次呈現視頻中的相關圖片，帶讀單詞。 Look and answer 教師將章首圖投屏，提問： 1. What is he doing 2. How do you like the sports 3. What do you want to say to him
過程診斷
教師根據學生的回答，判斷學生觀看視頻時獲得的信息和他們對該話題的了解程度。通過學生對話題的討論，評估學生對體育活動的喜好和感受。
學習任務 ②
學習活動 The big picture of Unit 2 學生帶著問題：What are you going to learn in this unit 通讀導讀文字，梳理單元子話題。 教學活動 The big picture of Unit 2 教師帶學生通讀導讀文字，板書enjoyment of sports, health benefits of sports, spirit of sports.
過程診斷 教師根據學生的反應，評估學生對該話題的興趣濃度，通過自由問答，判斷學生對該話題的了解程度和知識儲備。
學習任務 ③
學習活動 Look and match 學生觀察圖片，將短語匹配對應的圖片 1 - A tai chi 3 - B roller skating 4 - C rock climbing 2 - D swimming Look and say 學生自由回答：I like... because... Work in group 學生根據小組進行活動，在組內接龍回答問題。 學生在班級展示小組成果。 教學活動 Look and match 教師將活動1的四幅圖投屏，提問： 1. What sports can you see in the pictures 教師邀請幾名學生回答問題，不做評價。 Look and say 2. What sports do you like best Why Work in group 教師提前讓學生分好組進行小組活動： Step 1 Group in 4-6. Step 2 Take turns to answer the question in group: What sports do you like best Why Step 3 Share your conversation in class.
過程診斷 教師根據學生的匹配結果判斷學生對主題詞匯的掌握情況，通過學生的自由回答和小組輸出成果，評估學生語言組織和運用能力。若學生在Look and say環節輸出困難，教師要在小組活動前提供足夠的語言支持，在小組活動中及時給予幫助和反饋。
學習任務 ④
學習活動 Before you listen 學生跟著教師提前學習可能聽到的新詞匯。 While you listen: Listen and complete 學生聽錄音，完成表格。 Think and answer. 1. 學生根據表格回答問題：... came from... 2. 學生可嘗試用中文回答本題：Origin means where something begins. 教學活動 Before you listen 教師呈現圖片，帶學生朗讀單詞并板書：ancient China, Ancient Egypt, bowling, indoor game While you listen: Listen and complete Think and answer 1. Where do they come from 2. 教師鼓勵學生對origin進行詞義推測，可用中文回答：What does origin mean
過程診斷
根據學生的表格完成情況，評估學生的聽力和詞匯水平，在追問環節，判斷學生的詞義推測能力和語言組織能力。
