Formation of the Teaching ProcessThe teaching process consists of six class sessions:Starting Out & Understanding Ideas (Text Interpretation): Students will learn to use core vocabulary and sentence patterns to talk about sports, introduce their favorite sports and reasons, understand others' love and perseverance in sports, and express their own views with target vocabulary.Understanding Ideas (Grammar Learning): Students will understand and use indefinite pronouns, share a story about a sports enthusiast using indefinite pronouns and core vocabulary/sentence patterns of this unit.Developing Ideas (Listening and Speaking): Students will understand the relationship between sports and health; use core vocabulary and sentence patterns of this session to discuss the benefits of sports to themselves.Developing Ideas (Reading): Students will understand the spirit of sports, feel its impact on people, and share their views on sportsmanship using core vocabulary and sentence patterns of this session.Developing Ideas (Writing): Students will use core vocabulary and sentence patterns of this session to introduce a sports team and share their evaluation of the team.Presenting Ideas & Reflection: Students will use core vocabulary, sentence patterns, and grammar of this unit to design a poster and share a sports moment; gain a more comprehensive understanding of the importance of sports.III. EvaluationEach teaching segment includes clear teaching objectives, learning activities, and effect evaluations. For example, in the text interpretation segment, through leading-in questions and picture observations, we evaluate students' ability to actively share knowledge of the topic, participate in exchanges and interactions, and introduce their favorite sports and reasons for liking them. In the grammar learning segment, by summarizing the meanings and usage of indefinite pronouns, we assess students' understanding of grammar points. Each segment concludes with homework designed to consolidate classroom learning content, such as writing a paragraph about Zhang Shun or sports and health.IV. ReflectionThrough this unit's teaching, students not only learn language knowledge but also deeply understand the importance of sports. During the teaching process, I focused on developing students' thinking abilities and cultural awareness. By designing diverse classroom activities, I aimed to stimulate students' interest in learning and enhance their practical application abilities. However, there is still room for improvement in balancing different levels of students' learning needs.
