Aron Ralston is an American man who is interested in mountain climbing. As a mountain climber, Aron is used to taking risks. This is one of the exciting things about doing dangerous sports. There were many times when Aron almost lost his life because of accidents. On April 26, 2003, he found himself in a very dangerous situation when climbing in Utah.

On that day, Aron’s arm was caught under a 360-kilo rock that fell on him when he was climbing by himself in the mountains. Because he could not free his arm, he stayed there for five days and hoped that someone would find him. But when his water ran out, he knew that he would have to do something to save his own life. He was not ready to die that day. So he used his knife to cut off half his right arm. Then, with his left arm, he bandaged himself so that he would not

His love for mountain climbing is so great that he kept on climbing mountains even after this experience.

考點 importance的用法
importance為不可數名詞，意為“重要性；重要”，常用搭配：the importance of (doing) sth.，意為“(做)某事的重要性”。
【拓展】importance的形容詞形式為important，意為“重要的”。
考點 As a mountain climber，Aron is used to taking risks.作為一名登山者，阿倫習慣于冒險。
(1)be used to (doing) sth.意為“習慣于(做)某事”，該短語中的to是介詞，其后不能用動詞原形。
【拓展】used to do sth.意為“過去常做某事”。
(2)take risks＝take a risk，意為“冒險”。此處risk是可數名詞，意為“危險；風險；冒險”。表示“冒險”的程度時，前面可用high，low，big，great等形容詞來修飾。

“On the very first day of 2024，I saw the snow of Kilimanjaro
