Learning Goals
英語是一種節奏較強的語言，英語句子中有的詞重讀，有的詞不重讀。英語單詞中有重讀音節和非重讀音節，重讀和非重讀音節在句子中形成一強一弱或一重一輕的變化，這樣就形成了英語的節奏。例如：

在句子中，有的單詞重讀，有的不重讀，那些比較重要的詞保留著重讀，這些重讀音就叫句子重音。
一般情況下，如名詞、動詞、形容詞、副詞、數詞等在句中要重讀，如介詞、冠詞、連詞、人稱代詞、情態動詞肯定式等不重讀，這樣就形成了以句子為單位的詞的輕重交替。英語句子按“詞的相對重要性”形成“句子重音”。

hers 名詞性物主代詞， 后無名詞
名詞所有格用來表示物品的所有關系。主要有以下用法：
①一般情況下，在單數名詞的詞尾加“'s”。

②以-s結尾的復數名詞在詞尾加“'”。
　the students' room 學生們的房間

I seldom do, but I often play badminton.

（1）seldom〔副詞〕很少；不常；通常位于實義動詞之前，助動詞、情態動詞或系動詞be之后，是一個表示否定意義的副詞。
My mother seldom watches TV.　我媽媽很少看電視。
Millie is seldom late for school.　米莉上學很少遲到。
（2）play badminton打羽毛球；
play與表示球類運動的名詞連用時，球類名詞前不用冠詞。
