拓展
1）當前者所敘述的肯定情況同樣適合于后者時,則用“so+助動詞/系動詞(be)/情態動詞+主語”。

2）neither的其他用法:
形容詞 置于單數名詞前,表示“(兩者)都不” I’ll take neither shirt.這兩件襯衣我都不買。
代詞 作主語時,謂語動詞用單復數形式均可 Neither is/are my favorite.這兩個都不是我最喜歡的。
neither of+名詞或代詞復數,作主語時,謂語用單復數形式均可 Neither of you is/are right.你們兩個都不對。
連詞 常用固定搭配:neither...nor...意為“既不……也不……”,連接兩個并列主語時,謂語動詞遵循就近原則 Neither my sister nor I am interested in rock music.我妹妹和我都對搖滾樂不感興趣。

in surprise “驚奇地”，常位于動詞之后作狀語，表
示方式。如：
John turned around and looked at me in surprise．

to one’s surprise或to the surprise of sb．意為“使某人吃驚的是、出乎某人意料”，常位于句首，作狀語，表示行為的結果。

as soon as 連詞,意為“一……就……”,引導時間狀語從句,遵從主將從現原則,即主句用一般將來時,as soon as引導的時間狀語從句用一般現在時。

neither的用法
（1）adv.意為“也不”。
“neither＋be動詞/助動詞/情態動詞＋主語”表示“（某人）也不/沒有……”。
如：Tom can't drive. Neither can I.
湯姆不會開車，我也不會。
（2）adj./pron.意為“（兩者中）任何一個都不”。
neither of＋n./pron. （復數）在句中作主語時，謂語動詞多用單數形式。
如：Neither of us is a doctor.
我們兩個都不是醫生。

（3）conj.常用短語：neither…nor…“既不……也不……”，連接兩個相同的句
