Recently, a cleaner of the Summer Palace has become popular on the Internet because of his knowledge about the history of ancient(古代的) buildings.
Zhang Xu was born in Beijing in 1984. He became a member of the cleaning Team at the Summer Palace last year. For him, the Summer Palace is a special childhood Memory(童年記憶).
As a child, he came here to play, and as he grew up, he became a part of it. “One day during my work, I saw a few tourists, who came over and took a book to study the buildings. I heard that there seemed to be some discrepancies(出入) between what they said, so I talked about some of my own opinions,” Zhang Xu said. “Besides cleaning, we also provide(提供) services like giving directions, answering questions and offering explanations(提供講解).”
