無靈主語在讀后續寫中的應用
一．描寫人物的情感
1. A sense/wave of happiness/anger/sadness... seized/ swept over/ flooded over sb.
2.The tear of gratitude/excitement... welled up in one’s eyes.
3.情感A gave way to情感B.
Eg.Anxiety and fear gave way to great confidence to continue my performance.
描寫人物動作
The thought/ idea of doing sth. did sb.
Eg. The thought of returning home to do endless housework truly bored me.
The sight of the orphan always reminds me of his parents.
A ten minutes’ walk brought us to the hotel.
描寫環境
Night fell, the wind grew strong and the trees creaked(吱吱作響) and groaned. （《簡愛》）
四．推動情節發展
An idea flashed into my mind,(靈機一動) I instantly did...
It occurred to/ struck/hit me that I might as well buy some paper. It would be an excuse to be rid of him(擺脫). 《月亮與六便士》
The news had travelled.(消息不脛而走) Thus many people went to visit the mysterious village.
I stopped trembling with fear. The next five minutes witnessed my smooth performance.(擬人)
描寫結尾
The unique experience enlightened(啟發)me that we should never judge a book by its cover.
The words/pictures kept echoing in my mind ever since, reminding me of the experience, where I got the lesson that one should never give up hope.
補充：
gather up/ muster up one’s courage to do
shoot like an arrow 像箭一樣沖出去
Not until... did sb. realize that.../ Not until... was sb. aware that...
It was only when... that sb. Realized ...
Courage deserted him. 他失去了勇氣。
