Tips: Listen for gist:
Try to catch the main ideas instead of trying to remember and translate each word you hear.
Tips: To get the main idea, listening for content words (nouns,verbs,adjectives,adverbs),rather than function words(article, conjunction, auxiliary words),is a good way.
