One of the buzzwords is “xiaohai ge/ jie”. It means “kid bro/ sis”. People often use it to show respect for kids. These kids stand out in one way or another. For example, an 11-year-old boy from Hunan is a xiaohai ge. The boy was skilled in making fried rice to help his father make a living. Zheng Haohao, also 11 years old, is called a xiaohai jie. She was the youngest player at the Paris Olympics. Even so, she competed in skateboarding with confidence.
This buzzword praises the talent and courage of kids. It also shows a change in society: People are focusing more on kids’ character, not just their school grades.
The other buzzword is “silver-hair power”. It reminds us of elderly people’s important role in society. They take part in volunteer work, education and other activities. Grandma Zhang, for example, is a video creator on Douyin. In one of her videos, the 70-year-old grandma teaches people how to make dumplings. “Cooking connects us,” she said. The idea of using wood for satellites (衛星) sounds strange, but there are some reasons to try it. Wood is cheap and it doesn’t cause pollution. And in space, wood is stronger than on Earth, since there’s no water or O2. If the test works, wooden satellites could help lower pollution in space. Satellites normally burn up as they come back into the Earth’s atmosphere (大氣層). Burning metal (金屬) satellites leaves behind a cloud of pollution. But when wood burns, it only leaves water and CO2 behind.
The idea for LignoSat Project came from Takao Doi, who’s a scientist and astronaut. He and other scientists thought it might be potential to build a satellite out of wood. The idea was simple, but the project wasn’t easy. First of all, the team had to find out what kind of wood would work best. In 2022, they sent three kinds of wood to the International Space Station (ISS) for testing. After eight months, the tests showed that all three kinds of wood worked well in space.
Last November, a SpaceX rocket carried a wooden satellite called LignoSat to the ISS. Over the next six months, messages from the satellite can help the researchers know how well the wood holds up. The project is a test to see if wood could be a good building material for space.
66. What does the first paragraph mainly talk about
A. The advantages of using wood for satellites. B. The reasons why there’s no water or O2 in space.
C. The challenges of building a satellite out of wood. D. The differences between wooden and metal satellites.
67. What does the underlined word “potential” in Paragraph 2 mean
A. Meaningful. B. Difficult. C. Possible. D. Important.

A. To see how well a SpaceX rocket works. B. To see how long the satellite can stay in space.
C. To find out if the satellite can work properly in space. D. To find out if wood is a good choice for satellites.
69. Which is the best title for the passage

One day, Perkins was picking up his clothes at the dry cleaner. There were too many clothes for him to carry with one hand. Before he could return to the dry cleaner to get the rest of his clothes, the woman walked towards him with his clothes in her hands. She put the clothes in the car and said to Perkins, “I know you. I used to see you help others. Now it’s your turn. Accept it.” Perkins didn’t know the woman, but he thanked her. He knew the reason she said that was to let him accept her help without any stress.

Hello, everyone! I’d like to share a teamwork experience of mine. Last month, we were divided into groups for a project on global warming. My team worked together to collect information and prepare our report, with each member responsible for different parts. I focused on the influence of global warming, while the others explored useful ways. Everyone gave ideas to make the project perfect.
This experience made me understand the power of teamwork. Working together, we could overcome difficulties. And we supported and encouraged one another, making us stronger as a whole. Working well as a team is the key to success. Let’s value every chance to work together and grow as a team.
That’s all. Thank you.
