英語單詞中有重讀音節和非重讀音節，重讀音節和非重讀音節在句中形成一強一弱或一重一輕的變化，這樣就形成了英語的節奏。
英語中的節奏
英語句子中的一個重讀音節與其后若干非重讀音節組成一個節奏組,即一拍。
讀英語句子時從一個重讀音節到下一個重讀音節所用的時間大致相等。
