One day, as the wife was looking through the window, she saw a neighboring woman hanging out her clothes to dry. "Look at her dirty clothes," she said to her husband. However, he went on reading the newspaper and didn't pay any attention to her words. "Perhaps her soap is bad or she does not know how to wash.I will go to teach her someday!" the wife said to herself.
As days went by, every time the neighboring woman hung out her clothes, the wife would be surprised at how dirty they looked. She couldn't understand why she could never wash them clean.
Then, one day, after she looked through the window as usual, she shouted excitedly, "Oh, look! Her clothes are clean today. The neighboring woman has finally learned how to wash clothes!"

How would you feel if someone decided to take away your park Well that's what's happening in my community. There's a park that some people want to turn into a golf course(高爾夫球場). Let me tell you why I think it's a bad idea.
First, a park is meant to be for the whole community. Not everyone likes golf, so not everyone will get to use the course. This isn't fair.A community park should have open spaces for everyone to use.
Second, to make way for the golf course, lots of playground equipment(設施)will have to be moved or broken down, which is a waste of time and money.
Third, not all kids are crazy about golf. At the moment, the park has a skating place and a playground. These attract lots of kids from the community. If you turn the park into a golf course, this means these kids will stay at home and turn on a video game rather than get some exercise. It also means that they might be out on the street causing trouble. Wouldn't it be better to give them something to do at the park
Finally, golf is expensive. Building a golf course and maintaining(維護)it will cost a lot of money. Who is going to pay to maintain the golf course What about those people who can't afford to join a golf club That means that the golf course will only be available to people with lots of money.
Turning our park into a golf course is a bad idea. I suggest we have a community meeting before plans go any further.
62.Some people want to change the park into ______ .
A. a golf club B. a golf course C. a zoo D. a skating place
63.According to Paragraph 4,having nowhere to go will make some children ______ .
A. go to get some exercise B. fall in love with golf
C. play video games at home D. go to the street and make friends
64.Which of the following shows the structure of the passage
A. B. C. D.
65.What is the writer's purpose in writing this passage
A. To help carry out further plans.
B. To make the park more beautiful.
C. To encourage children to go skating.
D. To stop the golf course from being built.

March 22 is World Water Day.Believed to be the source of all life, water has flowed with Chinese culture for thousands of years. It influences not only the origins of Chinese civilization(文明)but also many wise ideas in Chinese philosophy(哲學).
Chinese civilization is one of the world's ancient river civilizations. It began thousands of years ago along the Yellow and Yangtze rivers, linking the culture to water from its beginning.
However, the way people and water get along has two sides. Water is highly important for life and growing things, but if we can't control it, it can cause big problems.Knowing the strong power of water, Chinese people have always tried to use it in the best way possible. For example, Yu, the first ruler of the Xia Dynasty, controlled floods by digging the waterways so that the water could easily flow into the sea.
Water is also given philosophical meanings to educate Chinese people and rule the country. According to Xunzi(《荀子》), Confucius often thought about water, believing it had qualities such as justice(公平) and courage. He once said that, "He who is wise loves water; he who is virtuous(高尚的)loves mountains." Therefore, Confucianism(儒家思想)suggests that people should learn from water. Inspired by water, Laozi gave birth to the idea of "overcoming hardness with softness and non-action". These ideas later continued inspiring rulers to follow the laws of nature and respect the will of the people. Ancient Chinese philosopher Xunzi said, "Water can carry a boat but can also overturn it".
Being the most present element(元素)in daily life, water is the root metaphor(根隱喻)in Chinese culture that builds the Chinese civilization.
66.What can be inferred(推斷)about Yu's achievements with water management
A. He was successful in preventing floods.
B. His work had no lasting influence on Chinese culture.
C. His projects were harmful to the environment.
D. He depended on modern technology to control floods.
67.According to Confucianism,What qualities can people learn from water
A. Strength and hardness. B. Justice and courage.
C. Wisdom and respect. D. Power and control.
68.Why is water considered important in shaping Chinese civilization
A. It is the most important for the farmers.
B. It provides inspiration for writers and thinkers.
C. It influenced both the birth of the civilization and wisdom in philosophy.
D. It played a role in China's progress in science and technology.
69.What is the main idea of the passage
A. Water has been recycled since ancient times in China.
B. The Xia Dynasty was the most influential period in ancient China.
C. Confucius and Laozi have opposite views on the meaning of water.
D. Water plays a key role in the development and philosophy of Chinese civilization.

Scientists have discovered the world’s largest known field of seagrass with the aid of some unusual helpers: tiger sharks.
Seagrass usually grows in shallow waters. It grows in thick fields, known as meadows (草地). These seagrass meadows help clean the ocean’s water, and provide shelter for lots of sea life. They are also a big help in the fight against climate change. That’s because they store huge amounts of carbon dioxide (二氧化碳). This harmful pollution is making global warming worse. Damaging these seagrass meadows will only further release (釋放) this pollution back into the atmosphere.
Though they’re very important, scientists don’t have a good idea of the size and number of the world’s seagrass meadows. Trying to find these meadows from above the sea waters can be quite difficult. The world’s oceans are so large in size that it’s simply not possible to make a deep study of them by diving. So a team of scientists decided to have tiger sharks help with the research. These animals were chosen as research helpers because they spend a lot of their time in and around seagrass meadows.
Researchers attached cameras to the fins of seven tiger sharks. The sharks then carried the cameras and travelled for miles over the sea floor. The cameras were designed to fall off after a few hours and then float back up to the surface. Tracking signals helped the scientists find the floating cameras and to collect the videos the sharks had taken.
The scientists learned that the waters around the Bahamas are home to the largest seagrass meadow ever discovered, which could be as large as 92,000 square kilometres. The discovery means that the world has about 40 per cent more seagrass meadows than scientists had thought.
The project demonstrates (示范) a powerful new way to explore the ocean. In other words, underwater animals can help us learn more about life under the sea. Animals like tiger sharks are going to take us to new places that we didn’t even know.
70.How many advantages of seagrass meadows are mentioned in the second paragraph
A. Two. B. Three. C. Five. D. Six.
71.What is the third paragraph mainly about
A. The importance of seagrass to the world.
B. The situation that scientists know about seagrass.
C. The possibility that scientists study the meadows further.
D. The reason why scientists need tiger sharks to help with the research.
72.What’s the best title of the article
A. The Seagrass Meadows of the Ocean
B. Research Helpers of the Seagrass
C. The New Way of Protecting the Ocean
D. The Man’s New Helpers of the Ocean
