Unit 3 Same or Different 形容詞和副詞比較級
一、定義：形容詞和副詞的比較級是英語語法中用于比較兩個人或事物之間性質(zhì)、特征或動作
程度 差異的一種形式。
通過比較級，我們能夠清晰地表達出一方在某方面比另一方更具某種特質(zhì)或程度更高。
在 “Emma is taller than Ella.” 這句話中，“taller” 就是 “tall” 的比較級，用于表明
Emma 在身高方面比 Ella 更具優(yōu)勢，即 Emma 比 Ella 高。這體現(xiàn)了比較級在描述兩者
差異時的作用，讓信息傳達更加準確和具體。
二、形容詞、副詞比較級的構(gòu)成：
規(guī)則變化：
（一）一般情況下，直接在形容詞或副詞后直接 +er。
如： “tall”（高的）變?yōu)?“taller”（更高的）
“fast”（快地）變?yōu)?“faster”（更快地）
（二）以不發(fā)音的 -e 結(jié)尾的單詞，直接 +r。
如： “nice”（好的）變?yōu)?“nicer”（更好的）
“l(fā)ate”（晚的）變?yōu)?“l(fā)ater”（更晚的）
（三）以 “輔音字母 + y” 結(jié)尾的單詞，變 y 為 i，再 +er。
如： “happy”（開心的）變?yōu)?“happier”（更開心的）
“early”（早地）變?yōu)?“earlier”（更早地）
（四）以重讀閉音節(jié)，末尾只有一個輔音字母，雙寫該輔音字母，再 +er 。
如： “big”（大的）變?yōu)椤癰igger”（更大的） “Hot”（熱的）變?yōu)椤癶otter”（更熱的）
“Thin”（瘦的）變?yōu)椤皌hinner”（更瘦的） fat”（肥的）變?yōu)椤癴atter”（更肥的）
（五）部分雙音節(jié)和多音節(jié)單詞，在前面+ more 。
如： “outgoing”（外向的）變?yōu)?“more outgoing”（更外向的）
“beautiful”（美麗的）變?yōu)?“more beautiful”（更美麗的）

“seriously”（嚴肅地）變?yōu)?“more seriously”（更嚴肅地）
不規(guī)則變化：有一些形容詞和副詞的比較級變化是不規(guī)則的，需要特殊記憶。
如： “good /well”（好的 / 好地）的比較級是 “better”（更好的）
“bad /badly/ill”（壞的 / 壞地）的比較級是 “worse”（更壞的）
“many /much”（許多）的比較級是 “more”（更多的）
“l(fā)ittle”（少的）的比較級是 “l(fā)ess”（更少的）
“far”（遠的）的比較級有 “farther”（更遠的，側(cè)重于距離）和 “further”（更遠
的，更側(cè)重于程度）
“old”（年長的）的比較級形式包括“older”（更年長的）和“elder”（更年長的，更側(cè)重
于輩分或順序）
三、形容詞、副詞比較級的用法：
（一）兩者之間的比較：比較級最常見的用法就是用于比較兩個人或事物在某方面的差異，
基本結(jié)構(gòu)為 “A + be 動詞 / 實義動詞 + 比較級 + than + B”。
在描述身高差異時，“Emma is taller than Ella.”（Emma 比 Ella 高。）
描述學(xué)習(xí)努力程度時，“Chen Jie works harder than Peter.”（陳杰比彼得學(xué)習(xí)
更努力。）
描述動作表現(xiàn)時，“Ella dances better than Emma.”（艾拉跳舞比艾瑪好。）
（二）兩者之間選擇：which/who is+比較級，A or B
Which is nearer to the sun, the moon or the earth 哪個離太陽更近，月球還是地球
Which is better, the red dress or the black dress 那條裙子更好，紅色的還是黑色的
（三） 兩者之間較......之一：the+比較級
He is the thinner of the two.他是兩人中較瘦的那個
（四）越來越…比較級+and+比較級：多音節(jié)和部分雙音節(jié)詞用“more and more+原級
The weather is becoming colder and colder.天氣變得越來越冷了。
She is becoming more and more beautiful.她變得越來越美了。

（五）越…越…：the+比較級，the+比較級
The more careful you are, the more points you will get.你越細心，得分越多。
The more you read, the more you know.你書讀得越多，你就知道越多。
（六）修飾比較級：為了更準確地表達比較的程度，可以用一些詞或短語來修飾比較級。
常見的有 “much”（…… 得多）、“a little”（一點兒）、“even”（甚至）、“far”
（遠，…… 得多）等
“My father is much busier than my mother.”（我爸爸比我媽媽忙得多。） ；
“I am a little shorter than my sister.”（我比我妹妹矮一點兒。）
“It's even colder today than yesterday.”（今天比昨天甚至更冷。）
四、同級比較：表示兩者在某方面程度相同時，使用 “as + 形容詞 / 副詞原級 + as” 結(jié)構(gòu)，
意為 “和…… 一樣” ；
“Julie is as slim as me.”（朱莉和我一樣苗條。）
其否定形式 “not as/so + 形容詞 / 副詞原級 + as”，表示 “不如……” 。
“I am not as serious as my cousin.”（我沒有我表哥那么嚴肅。）
