Which of the following is TRUE/NOT true Which of the following is mentioned/NOT mentioned in the passage Which of the following is the right order according to the text Which of the following best describes... Which of the following shows/gives the right relationship/position of... When/Where/Why/Who/What/How... 如:must, never, the most, all, merely, only, have to, any, no, completely, none,等。 如: must, may, often, should, usually, might, most, more or less, likely, all, never, few 等存在程度不同,經常被偷換,往往被忽視。6. ALet’s talk about BEING YOURSELF Mind Tool ☆Remember, you are special! Science has shown that a diet (飲食) of processed food is not healthy for humans. Scientists from the University of Helsinki, in Finland, say this diet is not good for our pet dogs, either. The scientists discovered that the food a dog might find in an owner’s home such as eggs, fish, meat and vegetables may be better than a diet of just dog food. This is because having different kinds of food leads to more variety (多樣性) in microbes, which are little living things, too small to be seen with our eyes. There are millions of them in human and animal bodies. Some are bad for us, but many are good for us, and they play important roles in helping us digest (消化) food.A total of 8,500 young pet dogs took part in the study. 4,500 of them were under 6 months old, and the rest were between 6 and 18 months old. The owners were asked about what food they had fed their pets and how often. When the dogs reached adulthood, their owners reported that about 20% of the dogs showed CE symptoms (慢性腸胃不適癥狀) such as weight loss. However, if dogs had been fed a mixed diet while young, it was 22% less possible for them to experience CE symptoms later in life.Dr. Anna Hielm Bjorkman told The Times of London, “Dog food on sale is described as providing a complete diet. But what we show is that variety is important. Nobody would give 12 years of the same food to a child—why should a dog be different ”27. According to the new study, dog owners ________.A. must offer dry food to their dogs B. can feed dogs on “people food”C. had better buy more processed food D. shouldn’t make food by themselves【答案】27. 27. Racers spend only part of a race on their bikes because only part of the two-mile race is smooth. Other parts of the race have the challenge of obstacles (障礙). When racers reach them, they can ride over them, or pick up their bikes and run.To be a top racer, you must dismount without slowing down at all. To do this, swing your right leg over the bike seat. At the same time, move the bike away from your body. This makes room for your right foot to hit the ground next to your left foot. As your right foot nears the ground, take your left foot away from the bike. Put both feet on the ground and start running! As soon as you are running, you have to decide what to do with your bike. You may shoulder it or lift it. It’s important to practice both skills. Sometimes you need to run fast and jump over some obstacles. As your feet hit the ground, you reach down and catch the bottom of your bike. Lift up carefully and keep the bike on your right shoulder while you run. Sometimes you may lift your bike. You catch the top of your bike. Then you lift the bike high enough to get over the obstacles and carefully put the bike on the ground. After you have carried your bike across an obstacle, you will need to remount. As soon as your bike is on the ground, push off with your left leg, swing your right leg over the bike seat, and move into riding position. Remounting can be the hardest skill of cyclocross. You can learn by watching someone who remounts well.Cyclocross is a great way to stay active and have fun. However, it can be dangerous. Make sure that you are well prepared. Then, you will just need to go!8. What can we learn about cyclocross from the text A. It’s a no-obstacle bike race. B. It’s a cross-city bike race.C. It’s a challenging bike race. D. It’s a dangerous running race.10. Why does a racer have to shoulder a bike in a race A. To jump over obstacles. B. To take care of the bike.C. To make room for others. D. To hit the ground harder.DWe all enjoy being part of a group—there’s no better work than teamwork, right Actually, I disagree. Teamwork can be hard. In fact, it was so difficult that I left my office job and started working from home on my own. It’s a much better fit for me, and it has made me think about why teamwork can make our jobs harder rather than easier.Personalities (個性) can make teamwork difficult. There’s often someone on the team that puts their needs first. The team often goes along with this person, whose ideas might not be the best, just the loudest. Just one difficult personality can make teamwork bine (結合) several challenging personality types, and it’s even harder. Not having enough time together can also make teamwork challenging. For example, I was once on a team where we never had enough time to meet as a group. To successfully work as a team, you need time together—and lots of it.A final reason teamwork is difficult is because there’s often no training on how to work on a team. You can’t just put people in a room and expect them to work well with each other. You need to build trust with your team members. Think of football players: They aren’t just given a ball and told to play. They practice, and they train.Team can be hard, but working alone has its challenges, too. When my computer doesn’t work, I don’t have an IT person to turn to. When I have a great idea, I don’t have anyone to share it with to see if it really is a great idea. Don’t get me wrong—I still like my team of one and enjoy making all of the important decisions myself. But now I realize what was wrong with the teamwork I did in the past and how good teamwork could be if done correctly. And that’s useful information—because one day I might want to turn my ME TEAM into a WE TEAM.12. Why did the writer choose to work from home on his own A. To keep himself busier. B. To keep himself healthier.C. To make his job easier. D. To make his team harder.13. Which of the following makes teamwork difficult A. Strong personality. B. Lots of teamwork time.C. Challenging ideas. D. Clear team roles.14. What can we learn from the last paragraph A. WE TEAM has hardly any advantages.B. ME TEAM needs a lot of IT engineers.C. ME TEAM has no challenges for the writer.D. WE TEAM may be the writer’s choice one day.15. What is the purpose of the text A. To show the advantages of teamwork. B. To tell the importance of teamwork.C. To introduce the influence of teamwork. D. To explain the difficulties of teamwork.【答案】1. C 2. A 3. I’ve always liked designing things. I remember drawing clothes and shoes when I was eight, and I made my first skirt aged nine. At eleven, I started making shoes, and I now spend my free time doing that.I became interested in making shoes when my cousin told me about an online shoe-making course that he was doing. I immediately wanted to do one too. Mum booked(為……預約) me on a four-day course at the I Can Make Shoes school in London to see if I liked it, and then I did a ten-day course there in the summer holidays.I loved the courses. On the longer one, I made four pairs of shoes! I couldn’t believe it. The teachers were excellent. That’s what was best about the classes. They made us work really hard but they wanted all their students to have fun, too.I’ve made about 15 parts of shoes now. At the moment I’m making a pair of training shoes using an old pair of jeans, but I’ve used all kinds of different things before, from old leather(皮革) handbags to old cotton dresses!Making shoes has changed my plans for the future. I know now that I want to be a designer, but not a shoe designer. I’ve decided I’ll do home design. I’ve designed lots of shoes and also some clothes, so I’d like to try something new.16. A home designerBWhat did people do to communicate in ancient times Here are some very interesting answers to this question.Alphorns(阿爾卑斯長號角) were once used to communicate in the mountains in Switzerland. They are very long and they are very heavy, too. So, alphorns are hard work to blow. Then why use them Well, they make a loud sound which travels much further than the human voice. Herdsmen(牧民) used them to call cows in the distance for milking. At sunset, alphorns were also used to send a message down to villagers that all was well. These days, they’re mostly used as musical instruments. The people of La Gomera, an island in Europe, have their own special way of sending messages from mountain to mountain. They use a whistled(口哨的) language called el silbo, which comes from their language Spanish. Whistling can be heard within five kilometers, which means it can be used across much greater distances than shouting. El silbo can be used for all kinds of messages, including greetings and announcements. El silbo is used a lot less than it used to be, but primary school students in La Gomera have to leave it.Did you know it’s also possible to send messages without making a noise This is called visual communication, and it includes the use of flags and even smoke. Long ago, soldiers along the Great Wall of China used smoke as a warning. If they noticed the enemy from their signal(信號) tower, they lit a smoky fire. When soldiers in other towers saw the smoke signal, they lit fires too. In this way, messages about the enemy’s arrival could travel as far as 800 km in just a few hours.19.What are alphorns mostly used for today _______A. Communicating in the mountains B. Life in a spaceship is hard so you must have a healthy body and mind. You need to be easy-going, patient, and helpful to spend so much time in a small space with other people. What’s the training like People have to train for a year to learn how to stay healthy and safe. They practice space walking and living in zero gravity(重力). They train in difficult conditions to learn how to solve problems and to work in a team. Everyday tasks like eating, washing and sleeping can be difficult on a spaceship. There is no running water so you have to wash with wet tissues: it’s hard to enjoy the dry food that astronauts have to eat. And to sleep you must cover your eyes because the sun rises every 90 minutes on the International Space Station. You also have to tie yourself to something so you don’t fly away! What health problems do astronauts have Life in zero gravity causes changes to our bodies. Bones and muscles(肌肉) become thin and weak so you must do a lot of exercise in space to stay fit and to help the heart move blood around your body. Astronauts often get backache because you grow in space— up to 8 centimeters! It’s also common to have headaches and to feel sick, especially at the beginning. You must have vitamins to take the place of fresh fruit and vegetables. But you don’t have to put on sun cream because space suits protect your skin (皮膚).Are you still interested 23.What is a must for an astronaut _______A. A science degree. B. A pilot’s license.C. A healthy body and mind. D. A weak character.24. What must you do to prepare for a space trip _______A. Experience zero gravity. B. Wash with running water.C. Practice long walks. D. Sleep with your eyes open.25.Why do astronauts have to exercise in space _______A. To make their bones and muscles thinner. B. To help the heart work well and keep fit.C. To avoid backache and grow much taller. D. To stop their skins from getting sunburned.DThere are many different ways to solve a problem. One way is to be creative. People often think creative thinking is just for artists and designers, but this is not true. Dr. Edward de Bono, an expert in creative thinking and problem solving, has shown the world that using creativity to solve problems is very useful in business and in our communities, and will continue to be so in the future. One example of creative thinking is the solution to a parking problem in a town center. In the areas close to stores, people can only park for 20 minutes. There are parking meters where people pay to park in these areas. However, the problem is that many people leave their cars there for longer than 20 minutes. Dr. Edward de Bono’s solution is to make a rule that all cars parked in these areas must keep their headlights on. Of course, drivers will want to return to their cars before their car batteries (蓄電池) die.According to Dr. de Bono, people will need to use creative thinking more often in the future. To help people think more creatively, he designed the “Six Thinking Hats” system(系統). The system helps people think about a problem in different ways in order to find a solution. In the system, there are six imaginary hats of different colors. Each hat symbolizes a different way of thinking. For example, the white hat helps people consider the facts. The black hat is the most logical(有邏輯的) and helps people consider why a possible solution may not work. So, next time you have a problem in your community, think about it creatively, from different perspectives, and see what ideas you have.30.Which of the following is true about the “Six Thinking Hats” system A. The system is used to help people think quickly.B. The white hat helps people think about the facts.C. The black hat has to do with people’s feelings.D. Six hats of different shapes can be very helpful.16.B【解析】細節題根據第一段最后一句:At eleven, I started making shoes,(11歲的時候,我開始制作鞋子)B【解析】細節題They made us work really hard but they wanted all their students to have fun, too. I’ve decided I’ll do home design. I’ve designed lots of shoes and also some clothes, so I’d like to try something new.(我已經決定了我將做家庭設計。 These days, they’re mostly used as musical instruments.(如今,他們大多數情況都被當作樂器使用。) 20.C【解析】細節題:根據第三自然段They use a whistled(口哨的) language called el silbo, which comes from their language Spanish. Whistling can be heard within five kilometers, which means it can be used across much greater distances than shouting.(他們使用一種叫做el silbo的口哨語言,這個名字來自西班牙語。 Did you know it’s also possible to send messages without making a noise This is called visual communication, and it includes the use of flags and even smoke.(你知道不用制造出聲音也可能傳送信息嗎? Life in a spaceship is hard so you must have a healthy body and mind.(宇宙飛船上的生活是很艱難的,所以你必須有一個健康的身心。 You don’t have to have a science degree but most astronauts do.24.A【解析】細節題 根據第三段They practice space walking and living in zero gravity(重力).(他們訓練太空行走和在失重狀態下生活)可知選A。 There is no running water so you have to wash with wet tissues:(沒有自來水,所以你只能用濕紙巾來洗東西)可知B錯。文中說的是practice space walking 而不是practice long walking 。 And to sleep you must cover your eyes because the sun rises every 90 minutes on the International Space Station.(你睡覺的時候必須把眼睛蓋住,因為在國際空間站沒90分鐘太陽就出山一次)可知D選項錯誤。25.B【解析】細節題:根據Bones and muscles(肌肉) become thin and weak so you must do a lot of exercise in space to stay fit and to help the heart move blood around your body.(骨骼和肌肉會變得脆弱,所以你必須要在太空中做很多的鍛煉來保持健康,同時讓你的心臟能把血液供給全身) 故選B。 To help people think more creatively, he designed the “Six Thinking Hats” system(系統).(為了幫助人們更有創造性地思考,他設計了“Six Thinking Hats”系統,而不是more quickly.故A錯。 For example, the white hat helps people consider the facts. The black hat is the most logical(有邏輯的) and helps people consider why a possible solution may not work.(黑色帽子是最有邏輯性的,并且它有助于人們思考為什么一個看似可能的解決方法是無效的),可知C錯;D選項中不是Six hats of different shapes can be very helpful而是“Six Thinking Hats”系統很有效,故D錯;2021年杭州中考真題閱讀下列短文, 從每題所給的四個選項(A、B、C 和 D)中選出最佳選項。AMy name is Ryan and last summer my family and I went to an island for our summer vacation. I'm talking about the T﹣shirts that say something about you, like where you've been, what you like,or what you think. Those are often the T﹣shirts that we feel the most comfortable in and that we wear again and again. I'm going to tell you about two T﹣shirts that I really, really love and explain why. I've been to London twice. The first time I went I saw this shirt in a souvenir(紀念品)shop and my dad bought it for me. I really loved the design and the colors. And it reminds me of something funny that happened. One day we were travelling around the center of London. We almost got lost, but we found our way — thanks to the picture on this T﹣shirt! Sometimes I've bought clothes that I've never worn or that I've only worn once or twice. But I've worn(and washed o)this T﹣shirt hundreds of times. I love music and I love Adele. I haven't seen many of my favorite artists live, but I bought this when I went to Adele's concert two years ago. It was a great concert and this is a great souvenir. And white T﹣ shirts go with anything, not just jeans! So,those are just two of my favorite T﹣shirts that tell a story. What about yours?posted 16th April at 16:57 post a commentI've never been to China and I don't know any Chinese, but one of my favorite T﹣shirts has the Chinese characters on it. It is valuable.CFlamenco is very popular in southern Spain. It begins with guitar music and clapping(擊掌)and then dancers join the performance. Sometimes a woman dances alone and sometimes she dances with a man. The woman always wears a long, colorful dress. She moves her arms and hands slowly but her feet move in fast difficult steps. The man often wears black. Both dancers click their shoes on the floor when they dance around each other.Cossack dances are from Russia and Ukraine. They are very energetic — some are more like gymnastics than dancing! Dancers have to be very fit because they jump very high and kick their legs up and down. They often jump over swords(劍). The movements are similar to traditional Cossack activities, for example, sword fighting and getting on and off horses.Limbo dancing is first from West Africa but today it is an important part of celebrations in the Caribbean. Young people have to dance under a pole(桿). The pole is often on fire and the dancer mustn't touch it! After a successful "limbo",they put the pole lower and do it again. Some dancers can dance under a pole just twenty centimeters off the ground!Mask(面具)dances are important for the Dogon people in Mali. Each village makes different masks. They are often huge and colorful. There are masks of people, monsters or local animals like crocodiles and monkeys. Mask dancers are always men and they dance to the sound of drums for hours after the death of a person in the village. Today,Dogon villagers also perform the dances for tourists.8. What do we know about flamenco dancing? A. Dancers begin performing before the guitar music starts.B. A woman dancer often wears a long black dress.C. A woman dancer moves her hands and feet at different speeds.D. Dancers clap loudly while moving around each other.DWhen do children start to talk?If you ask a group of parents when this happened, most will say" around twelve months of age". They will probably even remember what the children said. Many parents keep a diary of their child's "first words"We can never predict what a first word is going to be. Often it's the name for" mummy " or "daddy",but it could just as easily be the word for an animal or a favorite toy. Everything depends on what has most caught the child's attention. But one thing is certain:after the first word, others come quickly. By 18 months, most children have learned about 50 words. By two,the total has risen to around 200.Early words are actually one﹣word sentences. One of the first features(特征)of language a child learns well is to control the rise and fall of the voice to make the difference between stating and questioning. In English, daddy with a high rising tone(聲調)means "is that daddy?" Daddy with a high falling tone means "There's daddy". Of course, only very basic meanings can be communicated using tones alone. So it soon becomes necessary to learn some grammar. In English, grammar means learning to put words in different orders. Children have to see that mummy push is different from push mummy. They start practising such changes at around 18 months. By two, they have learned the basic patterns of word order, and we hear them saying such things as man kick ball and where daddy go.What are the parents doing all his time? They're acting as teachers and they always have an active role to play in their child's language learning.12. How old are most children when they have learned about 50 words? A. About 6 months old. B. About one year old.C. About 18 months old. D. About two years]old.13.Which might an English child say first when learning to talk? A. Mummy. B. Push mummy. C. Man kick ball. D. Where daddy go.15. Sometimes, they are on streets near schools and shops, too. Most young children are taughtwhat each of the colored lights means, so everybody can stay safe.Thefirst traffic signals were used for trains. The signals were put alongsiderailway tracks (軌道). The color red was used to mean "stop" because it warnedpeople of danger. A red light was also the easiest color to see from adistance. Train drivers could see the red "stop" light ahead and hadenough time to slow down and stop their trains. A green light was used to mean "takecare" and a white light meant "go".However, there were many dangerous accidents on the train tracks. Some train driversthought a star shining in the night sky was a white light that meant "go"".So the signals were swapped. The "go" light was changed togreen and the "take care" light was changed to white.Duringthese times, people travelled by train or in carts pulled by horses. Yearslater, when cars were built, people began to drive them because they couldtravel much faster than horses. However, the road rules for drivers were notvery clear and many people were hurt crossing the roads. Yellow warning signshad to be placed beside the roads to remind drivers to take care and allowpeople to cross safely.Today, towns and cities all over the world have traffic lights. Red and green lightsmatch the signals used on the railways. Yellow lights are easy to see, so theyare used to warn drivers that they should slow down and prepare to stop.(1)Why was the color red used to mean "stop" A.It reminded people of traffic rules.B.It helped trains run smoothly.C.It gave people a warning of danger.D.It was the first color people thought of.(3)In which order did the "take care" light develop a. There's a park that some people want to turn into agolf course (高爾夫球場). Let me tell you why I think it's a bad idea.First,a park is meant to be for the whole community. Not everyone likes golf, so noteveryone will get to use the park. This isn't fair. A community park shouldhave open spaces for everyone to use.Second,to make way for the golf course, lots of playground equipment (設施) will have to bemoved or knocked down, which is a waste of time and money. It's also a waste ofperfectly good equipment. The swings, for example, will probably just end up aslitter.Third, what about giving young people something to do Not all kids are crazy aboutgolf. At the moment, the park has a skating place and a playground. Theseattract lots of kids from the community. If you turn the park into a golfcourse, these kids won't have anywhere to go and they won't have anything todo.Thismeans that they will stay at home and turn on a video game rather than get someexercise. It also means that they might be out on the street causing trouble.Wouldn't it be better to give them something to do at the park Finally, golf is expensive. Temeraire is the name of the big, old sailing ship that you can see on the left of the picture. People chose this picture to be the greatest painting in Britain. J.M.W. Turner painted it in 1839.It shows the old sailing ship, the Temeraire, on the River Thames near London. There's a small tugboat pulling the old ship. It's in fact taking the Temeraire on its last journey. The old ship is going to the breaker's yard. In the background we can see the sun setting. The picture, however, is more than just a painting of two boats in the evening. The artist wanted to show the end of an era (時代). The time of the beautiful, old sailing ships is coming to an end. That's why we see this happening at sunset. In the little, brown tugboat we can see the new industrial era starting. The tugboat is small and dark and it's making a lot of smoke, but it's very strong, because it's pulling the much bigger ship. The painting shows a real event. Turner watched the Temeraire taking its last journey up the Thames, but he changed some of the details. He painted the old ship white and gold so that it looks like a ghost. In fact, the realship was black and yellow. We also see the sun setting behind the ship, but in fact, the ship travelled towards the sunset. However, Turner wanted to show the sun setting on the time of the beautiful old sailing ships. Turner painted The Fighting Temeraire when he was quite old, so perhaps he wanted to show the sun setting on his own life, too. He loved the painting and he never sold it. You can see it today in the National Gallery in London.19.The Fighting Temeraire ________.A. is the name of a big sailing ship B. was thought the best painting in BritainC. shows two nice new ships D. was painted by a famous young artist20.The old ship was pulled to the yard ________.A. to be painted new B. to be repaired C. to be broken up D. to be sold21.What does the tugboat stand for according to the passage A. The defect happens when a baby's top lip or mouth doesn't form properly before birth. Eating and drinking is very difficult for these babies. The charity provides free operations, which give these children a new smile, and with it, new hope and a new beginning. Children with the defect need all the help. Although many sufferers are accepted by their families, sadly, others are not. In some countries, children with this defect are often abandoned at birth because their parents feel ashamed of them or cannot afford the operations. The good news is that the operation is not difficult. It takes less than an hour and costs the family nothing. The charity raises money and finds the right medical volunteers to perform the operations. A Smile Train doctor from the UK said, "Each child who has the operation is given a second chance at life. After years of staying at home, the children can finally go to school and be happy. Every year I perform hundredsof operations free of cost through Smile Train. Some of the stories I have heard are quite surprising. One newborn baby girl was found abandoned on a train. Luckily for her, she was found and adopted (收養) by a passenger. This lady then heard about Smile Train and brought the baby to our hospital. I did the operation and gave hope to the family. Experienced doctors like me share our skills with local doctors. In this way we make sure that these operations will always be available."23.Smile Train is a charity which ________.A. provides food and medical care for poor childrenB. raises money for all the doctors working in the UKC. offers free medical help to children with the facial defectD. gives children without parents new hope and a new beginning25.What did the doctor from the UK think of his volunteer work A. Some big stores with toys may even have a pink floor for girls and a blue floor for boys. In fact, it is difficult to buy a toy for a girl that is not pink. Some people think that too much pink is bad for girls. Which of the following shows/gives the right relationship/position of... When/Where/Why/Who/What/How... 如:must, never, the most, all, merely, only, have to, any, no, completely, none,等。但不是絕對,也有例外。5.注意選項中的副詞,形容詞和介詞短語等與原文是否一致。如: must, may, often, should, usually, might, most, more or less, likely, all, never, few 等存在程度不同,經常被偷換,往往被忽視。6.細節題干擾項特點:與原文內容相反;與原文內容一半相符,一半不同;敘述過于絕對化;原文沒有提及. 【真題在線】2024年浙江中考真題ALet’s talk about BEING YOURSELF Mind Tool ☆Remember, you are special! According to the new study, dog owners ________.A. must offer dry food to their dogs B. can feed dogs on “people food”C. had better buy more processed food D. shouldn’t make food by themselves2023年杭州中考真題閱讀下列短文,從每題所給的四個選項(A、B、C和D)中選出最佳選項。AI like going to stores, but how do you know if a store has what you want The great thing about shopping online is saving time! D. To explain the difficulties of teamwork.2022年杭州中考真題閱讀下列短文, 從每題所給的四個選項(A、B、C 和 D)中選出最佳選項。AA blog by Sascha Marr, aged 14My hobby is making shoes. Calling cows for milking.C. Sending messages down to villages. D. Playing a kind of music.20.Why do the people of La Gomera use el silbo to communicate _______A. Because it can send messages to animals.B. Because it is different from their language.C. Because it can be heard at a great distance.D. Because it is a subject for young students.21.How did soldiers along the Great Wall get warning messages between towers _______A. By listening. B. By whistling. C. By shouting. D. By watching.CCan anyone be an astronaut Of course not. You don’t have to have a science degree but most astronauts do. Most of them are pilots too. There's a park that some people want to turn into agolf course Let me tell you why I think it's a bad idea.First,a park is meant to be for the whole community. Building a golf course and maintaining (維護)it costs a lot ofmoney. Who is going to pay to maintain the golf course What about those peoplewho can't afford to join a golf club That means that the golf course will onlybe available to people with lots of money.Turningour park into a golf course is a bad idea. Today the painting is kept in the National Gallery in London.C Smile Train is a charity (慈善團體) that helps the millions of children around the world, who suffer from a facial defect (缺陷). Sue Palmer, writer of Toxic Childhood, is very worried that most girls over the age of three are crazy about the color. According to some scientists, this happens for two reasons. Firstly, most companies offer too many products in pink. Also, many parents think their little daughter looks cute in pink. Sue Palmer says that girls at this age cannot make proper decisions by themselves, but the pink can affect (影響) the choices and the decisions they will make in the future. Some parents are worried too-for example, Vanessa Holburn, thirty-two, who has two girls under the age of four. Their bedrooms are a sea of pink and Vanessa is not happy. "Pink says that you are soft and gentle. Blue says that you are strong and powerful. I want my daughters to be strong and powerful. I'm worried that pink will not help them with that," she says. But not everyone thinks there's something wrong with pink. Grayson Turner is a father of three girls and he isn't worried at all. "People forget that things change all the time," he says. "My girls used to love pink when they were little, but as they get older, they change." Turner explains that his twelve-year-old daughter never wears pink clothes anymore. "This love of pink is just a fashion and all fashions change," he adds. "It's only since the 1940s that people have started dressing girls in pink-before that it was a color for boys."28.The underlined word "that" in Paragraph 3 means ________.A. being soft and gentle B. being strong and powerfulC. being gentle but powerful D. being cute and beautiful29.According to Grayson Turner, ________.A. parents needn't worry about pink toys B. all little kids love the color pinkC. pink has always been a color for girls D. his girls now prefer the color blue30.The purpose of this passage is to ________.A. explain why girls are crazy about the color pinkB. make parents less worried about the color pinkC. encourage girls to give up playing with pink toysD. show people's different opinions about the color pink【限時訓練】ANew books recommended (被推薦的) for both adults and childrenLove China All My Life:Isabel Crook’s Stories The book is written by Tan Kai.
