冠詞是一種虛詞，常放在名詞前面，幫助說明名詞所指的人或事物的含義。冠詞本身不能單獨使用，在句子中一般不重讀。冠詞分為不定冠詞 和定冠詞(the)兩種。
[考點1] 不定冠詞
不定冠詞a，an通常泛指同類事物中的某一個。其中a用在以輔音音素開頭的單詞前，an用在以元音音素開頭的單詞前。
注意：這里所說的輔音和元音指的是發音，而不是字母。
的用法
用 法 示 例
表示類別，泛指某一類人或物。 A horse is bigger than a mouse. 馬比老鼠大。
泛指同類中的任何一個，意為“某一”。 A man is looking for you.一個人正在找你。
表示數量“一”，相當于 one， 但語氣不如one強烈。 I have a mouth, a nose and two eyes. 我有一張嘴、一個鼻子和兩只眼睛。
用來指一類人或事物中的任何一個， 相當于 any。 I want to buy an English book. 我想買本英語書。
表示單位，有“每一”的意思。 The car runs 100kilometres an hour. 這輛車每小時跑100公里。

1. the的用法
用 法 示 例
用在特指的人或事物之前。 The woman is my mother.那位女士是我的媽媽。
用在上文提到的人或事物之前。 This is my book. The book is in my bag. 這是我的書。這本書在我的包里。
用在世界上獨一無二的事物前。 The earth moves round the sun.地球繞著太陽轉。
用在表示樂器名稱的名詞前。 He is playing the piano.他正在彈鋼琴。
用在姓氏的復數形式前，表示夫婦或一家人。 the Greens 格林夫婦/一家人
用在序數詞前。 Our classroom is on the first floor. 我們的教室在一樓。
用在普通名詞構成的專有名詞前。 the Great Wall 長城 the Children's Palace 少年宮
用在形容詞前表示一類人或事物。 the old 老人 the young年輕人
2.用于固定搭配的詞組
in the morning/ afternoon/ evening 在早上(上午)/下午/晚上
on the left/ right 在左邊/右邊

名詞前已有 this,that, my, his, her,some等修飾詞修飾時。 this cat這只貓her shoes她的鞋some water一些水
在一些習慣短語中不用冠詞。 at first 起初go home回家in bed 臥床
