【知識探究】
On sunny days, water goes up into the sky and forms clouds.在天氣晴朗的時候,水會升到天空中并形成云。
用法總結　 go up意為“上漲,上升,走過來”,在此處根據語境into the sky可知為“升入天空中”。
注意:在此處water是不可數名詞,go要用單數形式。
素養訓練　 用所給詞的正確形式填空。
1.The prices of vegetables are (go) up these days.
2.The balloon (go) up into the sky and disappears.
Just because of this, we call the earth a blue planet.僅因為這個原因,我們稱地球為藍色星球。
用法總結　 because of 為介詞短語,意為“因為”,后面跟名詞、代詞、動詞短語等。
注意:需要注意because of與because 的區別。because 為連詞,后面常跟句子。
素養訓練　 根據漢語意思完成句子。
1.因為糟糕的天氣,我們推遲了運動會。
We put off the sports meet the bad weather.
2.她因為生病沒有來。
She didn’t come she was ill.
3.Jack上學遲到是因為起晚了。
Jack went to school late getting up late.
It is full of water.它充滿了水。
用法總結　be full of表示“充滿……的;滿是……的”,常用來描述某物被完全占據或包含的狀態。
知識拓展　be filled with也有“充滿”的意思,fill本身是一個動詞,意思是“使充滿;裝滿”,be filled with是一個被動結構,表示“被充滿”。例如:
The bottle is filled with water.瓶子里裝滿了水。
素養訓練　 在空白處填入一個合適的介詞,使句意完整。
