Qingyan Ancient Town is one of the most famous historical and cultural towns in Guizhou Province. It lies in the southern part of Guiyang. Qingyan Town was built in 1378. Nowadays because of its long history and special environment, the town has become a popular destination for many tourists.
Dating back to the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, Qingyan Town was built for military (軍事的) reasons. Because of its geographical location, ZhuYuanzhang, the first emperor of the Ming Dynasty, set it up as a station to send military messages. Through years of improving, Qingyan Town has become a special ancient town with Ming and Qing dynasty traditions.
Qingyan Ancient Town was built completely of stone. Visitors can see city walls built right on the cliffs (懸崖), which divide Qingyan into inner and outer towns. There are four gates in the wall facing north, south, east and west. Outside the four gates, there were eight stone tablets (碑), which were the symbols of Qingyan Ancient Town. Of the eight, three remain with wonderful sculptures (石雕) on each side. The most famous one is called Zhao Lilun Baisu Fang.
Walking inside the inner town, visitors will surely be amazed at the ancient buildings here. There are over 30 types. All of them were carefully designed by the skillful architects of the Ming and Qing dynasties. A number of famous articles (文物), such as the stone sculptures of Ciyun Temple and the wooden sculptures of Shouto Temple, are all worth a look. You can visit the ancient business streets ________. ① “Drink eight cups of water.” We’ve all heard the advice. But if you fall short, don’t worry. That advice is probably wrong, anyway. That’s according to a new research. It found that for most healthy adults, drinking eight cups of water a day is unnecessary. But nor is it dangerous. Have you ever found yourself trying to be overly nice to someone, even if it didn’t come naturally This often happens at work. People usually do this to avoid (避免) hurting others’ feelings or causing problems. However, it’s important to understand that being overly nice can sometimes lead to worse results.
One reason is that people who are too nice often don’t share their real thoughts and feelings. For example, when they should give honest feedback (反饋), they just say “good job” instead. Also, if someone doesn’t do well at work, being nice by not pointing out them their mistakes can make things worse. That’s because they won’t have a chance to get better. What’s more, being overly nice can also lead to more anxiety (焦慮). When you avoid talking about problems, they don’t disappear—they stay hidden (隱藏的) and build up stress and worry. For example, if your friend keeps cutting you off when you talk, being too nice might make you afraid to ask them to stop. This silence then causes stress every time you chat, and the problem never goes away.
What should we do about this First, have the courage to voice your feelings. If something troubles you, express it kindly. For example, share your thoughts in a caring way instead of staying silent. Second, give specific feedback (具體的反饋). Instead of saying “good job”, be specific. Try: “I really liked how you organized the activities in this meeting.” Specific words help others understand what they did well and what they can keep doing in the future. Third, remember that different opinions are okay. Discussing differences can make teams stronger. Being honest doesn’t mean being unkind—it means caring enough to help others grow and making sure everyone does their best.
In short, being honest and direct helps us to do better in relationships and teamwork. Sometimes, this matters more than being overly nice.

The Yangtze River, the longest river in Asia and the third-longest in the world, is of great importance to China.
It starts from the glaciers (冰川) of the Geladandong Peak in the Tanggula Mountains of Qinghai Province. Moreover, the Yangtze River has a long history and rich culture. There are many historical sites and cultural heritages (遺產) along the river, such as the Three Gorges Dam (三峽大壩), which is one of the largest hydropower (水力電力) stations in the world.
