Chinese astronauts gave an open science lesson on 12th October from the Tiangong space station for students across China.
At the beginning of the lesson,the astronauts of the Shenzhou XIV team, Chen Dong,Liu Yang and Cai Xuzhe, showed people the living space and scientific machines inside the Wentian lab(實驗室). The lab became part of the Tiangong station in July.
In the open lesson, the astronauts did some experiments (實驗) to show special physical phenomena (物理現象) inside the space station. Then they told people why these phenomena happened. They also introduced some plants in the lab.
Millions of primary and middle school students across China watched the live event. The activity is a part of China's first out-of-the-Earth lessons. In this way, the astronauts hope to make more people know about space science. It was also the first time for the Shenzhou XIV team to give a lesson.
Chen Zheng, a teacher at Beijing Jiaotong University, helped plan the Tiangong Class. He said physical experiments are the best for space science lessons because they are safer and easier. What's more,students can clearly watch the differences between experiments in space and those on Earth.

SPLASH! I jumped into the pond and dived under the water, towards the hole.
A few weeks before, my parents had fallen ill. The medicine, a magic rose, was hidden under the pond. I'd made up my mind to find it.
When I landed on the secret world, everything was black and white, making the world seem very sad. I saw a large palace. Just then, I heard someone call my name. I turned around, nearly crashing into a creature wearing a dark dress. “How do you know my name ” I asked. But the stranger didn't answer. All it said was “Take this dress and put it on. It will make you invisible. The thing you are looking for is inside the palace.” I had a lot of questions, but I needed to find the rose quickly. I put on the dress so that no one could see me. Then I started walking to the palace.
Inside the palace, it was so dark that I felt like I was blind,and for just a second, I thought I saw a strange light shining from a room. I ran towards it. In the middle of the room, in a box, I found the rose. It was the only colourful thing in this world, so maybe that's why the creatures here loved it so much. I carefully took it out and ran as fast as I could because the alarms rang out all through the palace. Guards ran everywhere trying to catch me but they saw nothing. “Oh no!” I cried as my dress was pulled off. Now they could see me. Suddenly someone caught my shoulders. “Explain your reason for taking the treasured rose,” a deep voice shouted. I turned around and saw a huge creature above me. I told it about my parents. Surprisingly, it said, "You can take the rose but must return it after using it."
I returned home with the rose. My parents got well soon as they smelt the fragrance (香味)from the rose.
When I came back to the black and white world, instead of putting the rose into the box, I planted it in the ground and the whole world became colourful!
I still visit the world sometimes and my parents and I have lived happily ever since.
