(2025·湖南省常德市高三模擬)Norwegians would perhaps highlight their custom of “g p tur” — going on a journey on foot or on skis.In Denmark, everyone knows what “hygge” is — to freely enjoy the good life with the people you love. They're the issues of “intangible cultural heritage”, things that cannot be physically touched such as traditions, stories, music, dance and craft skills.
In 2003, UNESCO, the Education, Science and Culture Organization of the United Nations, adopted an agreement to “preserve the intangible” and many developing world countries were quick to get their traditions included on the official list. But it would take almost 10 years for “Agreement for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage” to be approved by the Scandinavian countries.
Annika Sjberg is responsible for managing the work of the agency in Sweden. She has been, and continues to be, flooded with suggestions of intangible cultural heritage worthy of protection, submitted by committed citizens and organizations wanting to see their particular traditions included on the list that should be ready sometime in the next couple of years.Suggestions have also been received concerning various maritime traditions: old shipwright (造船工人) skills such as the building of wooden hulled vessels are in decline and at risk of being lost forever.
“Our work has attracted considerable attention as it is regarded as being a little out in left field,” says Sjberg.“In addition, it's also opened people's eyes to the fact that the things we can't physically touch indeed have a major bearing on the way in which we live.Even in an urbanized society, there is knowledge we carry with us that we've inherited from previous generations — knowledge that's important to preserve and take care of.”
Sjberg explains that the point is not to preserve this cultural heritage in a stony rigid form, as traditions must be allowed to change and evolve. She also emphasizes that her work should not be interpreted as a nationalistic project, rather as a means of multicultural spreading.
It's actually a matter of documenting the knowledge that exists in the various traditions. What is most exciting is the diversity that now exists and the ways in which different cultures interact with each other.

根據(jù)第三段“Annika Sjberg is responsible for managing the work of the agency in Sweden ...”

(2025·湖南省常德市高三模擬)Norwegians would perhaps highlight their custom of “ ” — going on a journey on foot or on skis.In Denmark, everyone knows what “hygge” is — to freely enjoy the good life with the people you love. They're the issues of “intangible cultural heritage”, things that cannot be physically touched such as traditions, stories, music, dance and craft skills.
In 2003, UNESCO, the Education, Science and Culture Organization of the United Nations, adopted an agreement to “preserve the intangible” and many developing-world countries were quick to get their traditions included on the official list. But it would take almost 10 years for “Agreement for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage” to be approved by the Scandinavian countries.
Annika is responsible for managing the work of the agency in Sweden.
“Our work has attracted considerable attention as it is regarded as being a little out in left field,” says .“In addition, it's also opened people's eyes to the fact that the things we can't physically touch indeed have a major bearing on the way in which we live.Even in an urbanized society, there is knowledge we carry with us that we've inherited from previous generations — knowledge that's important to preserve and take care of.”
explains that the point is not to preserve this cultural heritage in a stony rigid form, as traditions must be allowed to change and evolve. She also emphasizes that her work should not be interpreted as a nationalistic project, rather as a means of multicultural spreading.
It's actually a matter of documenting the knowledge that exists in the various traditions. What is most exciting is the diversity that now exists and the ways in which different cultures interact with each other.

Disagreements have arisen in Northern France after many ancient standing stones were damaged to make way for a new hardware chain
About 39 stones, dating back at least 7,000 years, were removed from the site, which sits on one of Europe's most famous prehistoric attractions, Agence France-Presse (AFP) reported.“The site has been damaged,”local archaeologist Christian Obeltz told AFP.
Carnac, often described as “French Stonehenge”, is famous for its spreading fields of large tall stones. The stones are arranged in long, straight lines and, according to the Carnac Tourist Office, it is the largest collection of this type of standing stone in the world. The two main sites alone, at Menec and Kermarjo, house nearly 3,000 standing monuments covering over 4 miles.
The purpose of this ancient curiosity is still unknown. Many believe it may have had something to do with religion, while others think it could have served as a farming calendar. One idea even suggests that the stones are connected to a sad event that happened to a Roman army.
The Regional Office of Cultural Affairs for Brittany, which is responsible for protecting the cultural monument, made a statement on disagreements over building the store on Wednesday.“Given the uncertain and non-major character of the remains, damage to a site of historical value has not been established,”the statement said. However, Obeltz mentioned that there hasn't been enough research in the area to decide whether the stones were historically important.
News of building the store has caused a storm of angry comments on social media, with many expressing their thoughts on the loss of the ancient stones.“Poor Carnac! The commodification (商品化) of the world prepares the man without memories,”said Philippe de Villiers, France's former Secretary of State for Culture.
“In Carnac,39 standing stone monuments survived Julius Caesar, World War Ⅰ and World War Ⅱ.But not Mr DIY!” an online account Dom Revolution wrote.

(2025·莆田模擬)There has been a bitter argument within the Australian community over a horse racing event advertised on the Sydney Opera House. While some believe the Opera House is Australia's “biggest billboard (大幅廣告牌)” and should be used for economic gain, others are shocked that the government has allowed the national landmark to be polluted with branding.
As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Sydney Opera House is an important Australian building recognized all over the world and one of the country's most frequently visited tourist attractions. In the past, the Opera House has been used to promote a handful of charities, cultural festivals, etc. However, these have aimed to highlight events that bring advantage to ordinary people, not a single profiting brand.
Some have argued that promoting brands on the sails of the Opera House is just like advertising on any other billboard or marketing space with the power to significantly encourage tourism and growth. While this may be true, if advertising continues to happen, the Opera House could risk losing its reputation, which could devalue the landmark and actually damage its tourism appeal.
Although landmarks around the world such as the Eiffel Tower and Moscow's Red Square have been used for advertising, they also caused some arguments among the public. For instance, a major fashion brand placed a giant branded suitcase in the center of Moscow's Red Square; however, it was removed shortly afterwards as tourists complained it was so big that it blocked views of major landmark sites. The advertisement caused arguments among the public and finally failed to leave a positive impact.
So what will advertising on the Opera House look like to international tourists Will they be amazed and drawn to a wonderful country, or will they see advertising as something reducing the cultural value of a national symbol We think it's clear that our national treasures deserve the respect and admiration that come with them, and advertising should be limited to important causes, not campaigns for commercial gain.

10 They can include many human-made objects that hold cultural value. Some examples are national monuments and works of art. Many ancient sites are also part of this group. On a smaller scale, a family home can be part of an individual's heritage.
Many parts of the natural world are also important to heritage. They can include bodies of water, plant life, landforms and more. One example is the Nile River. 11 Efforts to protect natural heritage are key in many cultures.
The intangible group includes any part of cultural heritage that you can't feel through touch.Maybe you've read about forms of dance, like flamenco. You might know about the music of mariachi bands. These are all examples of intangible cultural heritage. 12

[2] The long awaited Christmas finally approached. One December day, an old model toy car arrived in the load of goods. It was as long as my forearm and took both hands to lift.My sister didn't want it, so it was all mine.I immediately set about wiping it clean and polishing it to a bright candy apple red. [3] As was planned, our relatives from France came to visit us that Christmas. It was a time when the family bond got strengthened. I shared the prized toy car with Alex, my young French cousin.Eyes glued to it, he fell in love with the wonderful, shiny red automobile the instant he saw it. It was a rare moment to see him feeling so relieved and happy. He'd been unlucky so far in life, suffering severe, life threatening illnesses as a child, leaving him mentally and physically stuck and the family starved of cash.Of course, such lovely toys like my dear model car were unreachable dreams for him.
[4] Seeing Alex's consuming thrill brought by the red car, I was seized by immense joy as well. But contrary to Alex's excitement, a voice inside me constantly reminded, “Watch out! He'd keep it for himself.”, which got me faintly worried. I followed my cousin for fear of something.
[5] My mother also noticed Alex's fondness for the car.Approaching me, she asked gently in a low voice, “Would you like to give it to Alex?”

Disagreements have arisen in Northern France after many ancient standing stones were damaged to make way for a new hardware chain
About 39 stones, dating back at least 7,000 years, were removed from the site, which sits on one of Europe's most famous prehistoric attractions, Agence France Presse (AFP) reported.“The site has been damaged,” local archaeologist Christian Obeltz told AFP.
The Regional Office of Cultural Affairs for Brittany, which is responsible for protecting the cultural monument, made a statement on disagreements over building the store on Wednesday.“Given the uncertain and non major character of the remains, damage to a site of historical value has not been established,” the statement said. However, Obeltz mentioned that there hasn't been enough research in the area to decide whether the stones were historically important.
News of building the store has caused a storm of angry comments on social media, with many expressing their thoughts on the loss of the ancient stones.“Poor Carnac! The commodification (商品化) of the world prepares the man without memories,” said Philippe de Villiers, France's former Secretary of State for Culture.

B.The Opera House's being used for advertising.
C.The horse racing event held at the Opera House.
D.The famous national landmark's being polluted.

C.To explain why tourists dislike billboards on landmarks.

8.Which of the following statements might the author agree with
