二、閱讀理解
In September, a sixth-grade class from a Chinese school began a different journey. Under the organization of the parent association, the students began a 5-kilometer morning jogging program in a park of Beijing, with the aim of improving their fitness, building self-confidence, and developing patience. Every Saturday morning, with a parent chosen as the coach to guide them, they laced up their shoes and set off.
The first run was a real challenge. After running just several hundred meters, a few students were out of breath. Some couldn’t even make it halfway, and others had to rely on each other for support to reach the finish line. However, despite the many difficulties, their determination never wavered. Along the way, many felt energetic. Most made it to the end by completing their 100th run on Saturday to celebrate their upcoming graduation, as they had been exercising regularly.
In recent years, some surveys have shown that the rate of obesity among students who are short of exercise is increasing rapidly. According to an authority report, one in five individuals aged six to seventeen is now overweight, a significant rise from one in twenty in 1995. In addition to weight problems, the lack of exercise has also led to an increase of short-sightedness in schools.
Recognizing the potential link between decreased physical activity and health-related problems, various measures have been taken to reduce students’ academic pressure and increase their exercise time, such as reducing the after-school homework burden.
The sixth-grade jogging program serves as an inspiring example, offering a solution to help students find more time to experience health, happiness, and friendship through physical activity. It shows that with dedication and support, even a simple jogging routine can have a great effect on the well-being of young students.

②根據(jù)上文“You don’t have to be a marathoner to get meaningful health benefits from exercise.(你不必成為一名馬拉松運(yùn)動(dòng)員才能從鍛煉中獲得有意義的健康益處)”以及“So remind yourself that it’s not a choice between hours-long workout or nothing at all. Instead, think of starting an exercise routine like standing up from your chair and sitting back down repeatedly.(所以提醒自己,這不是在長(zhǎng)時(shí)間鍛煉和什么都不做之間的選擇。相反,可以考慮開始鍛煉,比如從椅子上站起來,然后反復(fù)坐下來)”可知,本段主要說的是小活動(dòng)也可以鍛煉身體,本句為本段最后一句,進(jìn)行總結(jié)。故D選項(xiàng)“總之,每一個(gè)活動(dòng)都有利于清除血液中的脂肪和能量”符合語境,故選D。

④根據(jù)上文“Forget long- term benefits like weight loss or better overall health.(忘記長(zhǎng)期的好處,如減肥或更好的整體健康)”可知,上文提到忘記長(zhǎng)期的好處,本句說明原因:它們需要很長(zhǎng)時(shí)間才能見效。故B選項(xiàng)“它們需要很長(zhǎng)時(shí)間才能見效”符合語境,故選B。
⑤根據(jù)上文“If weightlifting in a crowded gym gives you anxiety, try to get a set of weights for home or follow workout videos on YouTube or ride a bike in the park.(如果在擁擠的健身房舉重讓你感到焦慮,那就試著在家里買一套舉重器材,或者關(guān)注YouTube上的鍛煉視頻,或者在公園里騎自行車)”可知,上文說明了要不斷嘗試各種活動(dòng),本句為本段最后一句,應(yīng)承接上文說明原因:不停地嘗試直到找到能讓自己滿意的活動(dòng)。故F選項(xiàng)“不停地嘗試直到找到能讓自己滿意的活動(dòng)”符合語境,故選F。
