Eric,Jerry,Tom and Bill are often late for school.
One morning,when the students were having a math test in the class,the four students were late
again.Their class teacher,Mr.Green,was waiting for them at the door.
“Sorry,M.Green,”said Eric,,the first student.“Our car broke down on the way to school.”
Yes,”added Jerry,“a tire(輪胎)was flat,,and we had to wait for a repairman.”
The other two students,Tom and Bill,nodded in agreement.
Mr.Green looked at them carefully,but he just had a smile gently,"Oh,I'm sorry to hear that.
Come in and go to your own seats."
After class,Mr.Green took them to his office."Hmm,I will give each of you an A for the math
test if all of you can get the right answer to my question."
The four students were very surprised and happy.They all wanted an A so much.
Each of them was placed in each corner of the office and got a piece of paper from Mr.Green.
And the question on the paper was,"Which tire was flat "
1.Eric,Jerry,Tom and Bill often arrive late for school.
2.Mr.Green was angry with the four students when they arrived.
3.The four students had the math test in Mr.Green's office.
4.Mr.Green gave the four students an A for the math test.
