But lately, naming his social media platform “X” may refer to Musk’s newest ambition, building an “everything app” like China’s popular WeChat. “He wants to create an app similar to how WeChat is used in China, where it’s part of day-to-day life. You use it to communicate, to consume news, to buy things, to pay your rent, to make appointments with your doctor and even to pay fines,” said Vance. “Following the WeChat model makes sense with what Musk wants for Twitter. Our study seeks to address these gaps by exploring how smart glasses are used in everyday contexts. We surveyed 1,037 adult Australians to gather their views on the devices, revealing a range of polarized opinions about them. The research specifically aims to understand the concerns regarding privacy, social behavior, and the potential benefits of these devices.
Our findings show a clear divide between owners and non-owners. Smart-glass owners tend to see the devices as enhancing their self-image and social status. However, they are also more likely to engage in risky behaviors, such as using the glasses while driving or filming people without their permission. In contrast, non-owners are deeply concerned about privacy problems and view the use of these glasses in public spaces as rude or inappropriate. Despite these differences, both groups agree on the potential benefits of smart glasses, such as aiding those with vision difficulties.
It is important to note that using Facebook ads to promote our survey may have introduced sample bias (偏差), as it likely attracted smart-glass enthusiasts who own the devices. This may not fully represent the views of the general public. Furthermore, the dominance of Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses could influence respondents to view the technology more favorably.

Dairy products such as milk and cheese, are high in calcium, while in limited amounts, meat can be a good source of protein.
If you’re not feeling that adventurous, then swapping food items can be beneficial. Choosing wholegrain bread or rice instead of white bread or rice can increase fibre intake. Unsalted nuts provide more nutrients than snacks such as crisps. Possibly surprisingly, popcorn is a wholegrain snack that is high in fibre.
So, fresh fruit and vegetables, swapping the worst things, and just a little bit more adventure could be the secret to a more nutritious diet.
