Long long ago, there was a small river. He was not friendly and he never shared his water with any fish, plant or animal.
So his life went on, sad and lonely, for many years. One day, a little boy with a gold fish bowl came to this river. In the bowl lived Scamp, his favourite little fish. The boy was about to move away and he couldn’t take Scamp with him. So he decided to let Scamp be free. When Scamp came into the river, he felt the river’s loneliness (孤獨).
Scamp tried talking to the river, but the river told Scamp to go away quickly. Scamp was a very happy fish, and he wasn’t going to give up easily. He asked and asked, swam and swam, smiling at the river. And he started jumping in and out of the water. Slowly, the river began to feel Scamp’s happiness and his love.
