A
Dr. Josefina has recently published a book, Vibrant at Any Age, based on her lifelong journey of self-improvement. Josefina, 71, is glad she didn't think about her age when she took up bodybuilding at age 59.
“I reinvent myself every ten years, and so I started my 60s as a bodybuilder and now I begin my 70s as a writer,” she said. “People limit themselves by age, which is very frustrating. Age is a mindset.”
Dr. Josefina started bodybuilding at an age when most are considering retirement, though she was an athlete from an early age. As a child in Venezuela she took to gymnastics and later graduated with a physical education degree. She taught at Latin High School in Cambridge, for 16 years, while raising two daughters.
“I started bodybuilding when I met Steve Pfiester, a gym guy who knew I ran and practiced yoga. He invited me to his gym and offered to train me,” she said.
Dr. Josefina's photos are proof that she spends long hours taking care of her body. But she also develops her mind and spirit. On any given day, she gets up at 3:00 am to read books. At 4:30 am she's out of the door to walk three miles and run another three. This is followed by yoga and a swim at the beach while the sun rises. After writing in her journal and working on her book between 8 and 10 am, Dr. Josefina hits the gym for at least two hours.
Dr. Josefina's war on ageism has rubbed off on her two daughters both in their early thirties. “They both take care of their bodies and minds. They're very proud of me. If you give them a good foundation as a parent, you know that they will always come back to their roots. I tried to remind myself of that during their difficult teen years.”
1.What's Dr. Josefina's opinion on age
A.Age is a state of mind.
B.Age can't be hidden.
C.Every age has its pains and sorrows.
D.Age decides your career.
根據第二段中Josefina博士說的話中的“Age is a mindset.”

2.What made Dr. Josefina start bodybuilding
A.The need of her job.
B.Her early dream.
C.The desire to be a writer.
D.Steve Pfiester's influence.

3. Which of the following can best describe Dr. Josefina's morning schedule
A.Busy. B.Dull.
C.Flexible. D.Controversial.

4.What can be inferred about Dr. Josefina from the last paragraph
A.She will consider retirement.
B.She will set up a fitness foundation.

Do you know what Fear and Faith have in common Fear believes in a negative future.Faith believes in a positive future. Both believe in something that has not yet happened. So I ask you, if neither the positive nor negative future has happened yet then why not choose to believe in the positive future
I believe during these challenging times we have a choice between two roads: the positive road and the negative road. And our bus can't be on two roads at the same time.So we have to make a choice and this choice determines our belief about the future and the attitude and actions we bring to the present.
I'm not saying we shouldn't have any fear. There are times when fear is a gift.A healthy dose (劑量) of fear causes us to examine our situation and plan for the future. It moves us to smell the cheese and expect change. When used wisely it allows us to manage risk and make better decisions. Some fear is good.
However, what I have observed lately is a supersized, huge dose of fear that affects far too many people. This oversized fear is causing leaders and their organizations to either act unreasonably or to not act at all. They are hurrying in a million different directions because of fear.In both cases, fear is leading them to take the negative road to failure.
The answer is the positive road paved (鋪滿) with faith and a belief that your best days are not behind you but ahead of you. With this belief you make the right choices and actions today that will create your positive future tomorrow. You stay calm, focused and committed to your purpose. You look for ways to save money and cut costs without making unreasonable fear-based decisions that sacrifice your future success. You identify opportunities in the midst of the challenges and you focus on solutions instead of problems.
Your faith and belief in a positive future leads to powerful actions today. The future has not happened yet and you have a say in what it looks like by the way you think and act.Fear or Faith. The choice is yours.
5.According to the passage, we can know that .
A.Fear and Faith have nothing in common
B.both Fear and Faith trust something in the future
C.neither negative nor positive future will happen
D.people usually choose to believe in the positive future
根據第一段中的“Fear believes in ...not yet happened.”

6.What does the writer mean by saying “our bus can't be on two roads”?
A.We usually choose the negative road.
B.We should choose the positive road.
C.We must choose either a positive or a negative road.
D.Our belief about the future depends on our choice.

7.Which of the following about “Fear” is true
A.We should have fear because it is a gift.
B.Reasonable fear helps to plan for future.
C.Fear can only bring risk to people.
D.Leaders usually have oversized fear.
根據第三段的“There are times ...for the future.”

8.If we have faith in future, we will .
A.have the best days ahead of us
B.be committed to saving money
C.stay away from any challenges
D.take powerful actions today

[A]
根據第二段中Josefina博士說的話中的“Age is a mindset.”
根據倒數第二段中“On any given day ... at least two hours.”
根據第一段中的“Fear believes in ...not yet happened.”
根據第三段的“There are times ...for the future.”
B項中的them指代前文的the silver linings。
F選項“現在你知道你有戰勝風暴的內在力量”承接上文,表示深入挖掘后,發現自己具有克服挑戰的力量,且后文中的“That self knowledge and confidence in your abilities”與F項中的“the inner power”相呼應。
