一、基本用法
1.基數詞的概述
數詞分為基數詞和序數詞。表示數字和數目多少的詞是基數詞,如one, two three,four;表示事物先后順序的詞叫序數詞,如first,second,third。本單元主要學習基數詞。

口訣助記基數詞不難記找出規律很容易。
零至十二形各異,加上-teen為十幾,
thirteen,fifteen看仔細,eighteen只有一個t;
twenty卻是很奇怪,forty本身也不乖,
eighty一起搞例外,跟著也把規則壞;
十位后面是個位,表示數字“幾十幾”,
表示“幾百幾十幾”,and常把百、十系。

二、特殊用法
1.表示“在幾十年代”或在“某人幾十多歲時”,要用基數詞的復數形式。

2.基數詞后接時間、距離、金錢等做主語時,謂語動詞通常用單數形式。

1.序數詞的構成
構成方式 示例
一般情況下基數詞后加-th構成相應的序數詞。 four→ thirteen→
整十數序數詞的構成是將基數詞詞尾的y變為ie,再加-th。 twenty→ forty→

2.序數詞的縮寫
序數詞的縮寫形式是由阿拉伯數字加上序數詞的最后兩個字母構成。

基變序,有規律,一二三,特殊記;
從四起,加th;八去t,九減e ;
ve需用f替; ty要換tie;

3.序數詞的用法
(1)序數詞前一般要加定冠詞the。
I live on the eighth floor.我住在八樓。
(2)序數詞常用來修飾名詞,但當序數詞前有形容詞性物主代詞等限定詞時,則不用定冠詞the。
