This hit home for me as I was sitting with my 2-year-old grandson on a sofa over the Spring Festival holiday. I had brought a children's book to read. It had simple words and colorful pictures—a perfect match for his age.

There's one notable gap in my new-media experience, however: I've spent little time in front of a camera, since I have a face made for radio. Learning online has become an important way to study recently. Students have easier access to more materials in their favor. Besides, there is no limit to learning time and space, which brings great convenience to all learners. However, some students who lack self-discipline may find their minds wandering when facing a screen rather than the faces of their teachers.
I benefit a lot from online learning, and for those who hope so too, my following suggestions will be helpful. First, put down learning tasks in detail before you start. Then, tick what you have achieved and rearrange those you haven't. Finally, set aside 10 minutes to have a break if you find it hard to focus on what you're learning. Keep in mind that distraction should be dealt with wisely.
