Comparative and superlative adverbs
副詞比較級、最高級的構成
變化規則 舉例
單音節詞和少數雙音節詞　 一般在詞尾加-er或-est hard→harder→hardest
以不發音的字母e結尾的詞后加-r或-st late→later→latest
以"輔音字母+y"結尾的詞,改y為i,再加-er或-est early→earlier→earliest
多音節詞和部分雙音節詞　 在詞前加more或most beautifully→more beautifully→most beautifully carefully→more carefully→most carefully
不規則變化 well→better→best badly→worse→worst far→further/farther→ furthest/farthest
